The river hut is a tree house, adventurous and romantic, in the middle of the trees on 2000 m² of land with a natural lake with flowers, frogs and birds, all to yourself. In this small tree house you will find a lovely double bed (140x200), a small kitchenette for coffee and tea, a fridge-freezer and a ceramic 1-burner 'for frying an egg', chairs and a table. There is an air conditioner for coolness in spring and summer and pleasant heating in autumn. Next to the tree house is an outdoor shower and outdoor toilet between the laurels. To top it all off, there is a large wood-fired hob with shelter and benches and a view of the lake.
From the tree house or the platform in front of the door, it is fantastic to watch birds and other living animals in nature.

Nature and environment
The estate borders a nature reserve and forests and heaths with beautiful fens. In many places the dog is allowed to run free, pay attention to the signs! Many walking and cycling routes have been set out in the immediate vicinity. Several old characteristic (es) villages are worth a visit, as is the fortified town of Bourtange, where time seems to stand still since the year 1620. In the summer there are many festivals and markets in Sellingen and other villages in the area. There are small cozy terraces and eateries everywhere. For enthusiasts, there are trout and char fishing ponds at 7 km and clear sand lakes for swimming at 5 km. And of course you can cast your fishing rod in the meandering river, the Ruiten Aa, (30 meters). There is a supermarket in Sellingen itself and a more extensive range of shops can be found in Vlagtwedde, 10 km away.
Nearby are many hiking and biking trails, swimming opportunities, blue lakes, water skiing, horseback riding, cinema.
Sellingen is a picturesque village with activities. In the summer there are many festivals and markets in Sellingen and other villages in the area.
