About our holiday home
Our detached nature house is located in the Achterhoek, next to the woods and an 18-hole golf course in the town of Henxel - Winterswijk. In the middle of the beautiful unspoilt nature and characteristic farmlands.
In the living room with sliding doors to the spacious garden is a sitting and dining area with a fireplace and TV. The fully equipped open kitchen is fully equipped. In the pantry there is a dishwasher and small freezer. Downstairs is the first bathroom with bath, sink and toilet. Upstairs are 3 bedrooms with new beds. The second bathroom has a shower and sink and there is a separate toilet.
The colorful wild garden with lots of privacy has 3 sunny seating areas / terraces and an enclosed pond where - depending on the season - goldfish, tadpoles and water lilies grow. And even the occasional stray duck pair nests. Next to our house is a private parking and lockable shed.
Nature and environment
With the Korenburgerveen, the Wooldse Veen and the Zwillbrocker Venn (just across the border in DE), the area has a lot to offer for nature lovers. You can walk, cycle, run or just relax endlessly. From the house you walk into the forest on different sides, where you can search for blueberries and blackberries and you should not be shocked when you encounter a deer or hare. Natuurmonumenten manages no fewer than 14 nature reserves in the vicinity of Winterswijk.
The recreation area Hilgelo with a large beach, spacious swimming area and playing fields is a 10-minute bike ride away. Our house is also the ideal holiday destination for golf enthusiasts; It is located on the grounds of the Golf & Country Club Winterswijk with the 18-hole golf course, including its own restaurant / terrace.
In addition, city visits can be made in Enschede, Doetinchem, Zutphen, Bocholt and Arnhem.
