Our cottage stands on a forest plot of more than a thousand square meters and is surrounded by nature reserves. The plot is without fencing, plantings mark the boundaries, only the terrace side with garden is fenced off (ideal for your pets). A beautiful place for peace seekers, nature lovers who are looking for a holiday home in the Achterhoek.

There are 3 bedrooms, 1 with a bunk bed and the other 2 bedrooms have a double bed. The living room has an open kitchen and is adjacent to the garden terrace. The house has recently been provided with a new roof and insulation, all windows are double glazed. There are outdoor sockets available for charging cars or bicycles.

Within walking distance are well-known nature reserves such as: Korenburgerveen, Meddose peat and Wooldse veen. And also in the garden are numerous birds and squirrels.

The Achterhoek has many cycling routes and many small villages that are each worth a visit. In the summer you can swim in the natural lakes Hilgelo or the Strandbad Winterswijk.

Arrival on changeover day after 16:00 and departure on changeover day before 11:00.

Energy consumption depends on the number of people, season and personal choices. We settle the energy costs based on the meter readings at the rates of the company "Energie van Ons" and settle that with the deposit paid.

We are Erik and Ernie and lovers of nature, silence and tranquility. All of this can be found in our holiday home in the Gelderse Achterhoek that we rent out through Micazu from April 2023. We walk, cycle and sail a lot. When we are not in the cottage ourselves, we like to let others enjoy the nature experience around the Bospad cottage.

The cottage is located in the hamlet "Meddo" northwest of Winterswijk in the Achterhoek. A walk from the cottage through woods, meadows and peat puts you in the middle of the nature reserves; Korenburgerveen (2km), Questionderveen (1km) and Corlese veen (0.5km). With fifteen minutes of cycling you are in the center of Winterswijk. Supermarkets such as Jumbo, Aldi, Lidl and Albert Heijn are quickly accessible. The famous quarry of Winterswijk is 10 km away. Neighborhoods Ratum with Willinks Weust and Kotten on the German border are less than 15 km away, as is the Wooldse peat. Each and every one of them is a special nature reserve for the Netherlands. There is also a lot of nature to experience around the house; squirrels, woodpeckers, goldfinches, great tit, blue tit, greenfinch, magpie, jay and many other birds visit the feeding area if you hang peanuts or other seeds there.
