Sometimes you come to a place where you immediately feel: this is where it's right. The Slaapfabriek in Teuge is such a place.
What started in 2009 as my dream of a small-scale Breakfast Hotel, has now grown into an exclusive holiday home that I have been running with love for 17 years. Three years ago, I consciously chose a new direction: no more B&B, but complete privacy for one group at a time. More peace. More space. More freedom.
De Slaapfabriek is not a standard group accommodation.
It is a large, attractive house with character – once built in the Second World War – where industrial elements come together with warmth and comfort.
You have:
- 12 spacious bedrooms, each with its own theme and private bathroom
- Comfortable beds and hotel quality linens
- A large open kitchen where you can cook and dine together
- A cozy living room with plenty of seating space for everyone
- A garden with terrace and space to sit outside
- Free parking on site
You always rent the entire house exclusively. There are no other guests present. That makes the stay intimate, relaxing and free.
For whom is De Slaapfabriek intended?
- For families who really want to be together.
- For groups of friends who prefer quality over busyness.
- For blended families where space is pleasant.
- For small teams that want to connect and deepen.
It is not a party location for noisy groups, but a place for people who appreciate atmosphere, comfort and attention.
The area
De Slaapfabriek is located in the middle of the green, a stone's throw from Teuge Airport. The combination is special: peace and space, yet centrally located between Apeldoorn, Deventer and Zutphen.
- Walking or cycling in the Veluwe
- A day of culture and shopping in Deventer
- Het Loo Palace or the Apenheul in Apeldoorn
- Culinary delights in the area
- Or just cook together and spend long evenings at the table
Everything is allowed, nothing is mandatory.
My vision on hospitality
I don't believe in control or mandatory conviviality. I believe in trust and freedom.
You can organize everything yourself or I think along with you about catering, activities or tips in the area. My role is in the background, but always available when needed.
What guests often give back is this: "It feels like coming home." And that is exactly my intention.
A place where you can disconnect from the hustle and bustle, where new ideas arise naturally and where you can just be for a while. Where conversations deepen, where time is less of a rush and where space is created — in your home and in your head. After 17 years of entrepreneurship, I can honestly say: I still enjoy it every day when guests come in and make the house their place. That trust remains special.
