The White Deer

Our beautiful log cabin Het Witte Hert is located in the middle of the Speulder forest in a quiet spot in the park de puttery. The habitat of wild boars, foxes and deer that wander around the fence at nightfall. The Ermelose Heide with its sheep herd is nearby, the Bosbad in Putten and the old fishing town of Harderwijk are also easy to cycle.

Within walking distance you will find the forest tower on the Schovenhorst estate, where after a climb of 235 steps at a height of 40 meters you have a beautiful view over Amersfoort, the Veluwe and the windmills in the polder. Opposite the park De Puttery is a small cozy restaurant where you can eat delicious and also take away meals. On Wednesday morning there is a lively market in Puten and there is no shortage of shops in the nice center of Puten. A visit to the brewery is also one of the possibilities where the delicious Deer Beer can be tasted. On warm days there are also swimming opportunities in the Veluwemeer and beach Nulde. What do you think of a workshop milking/painting cows or to the picking garden 'Het Platteland' where you can make a natural jewel.
