The Forest Atelier

We designed the Bosatelier ourselves and had it built in 2022 From November 2024 it will also be rented out, but often we are there ourselves. The house is like a loft: a "single space concept", making it spacious and bright even on dark days. There are two parking spaces at the house.

On the ground floor of 75 square meters are all the main living functions:  a spacious living room with a flat screen TV, an equipped kitchen, a bedroom with a double bed of 1.80 x 2.00 m. The bathroom, toilet and storage room are efficiently located in the middle part. On the 1st floor is a bedroom with 2 single beds: 90 cm wide and extra long: 2.20m, a work corner, a sink with toilet and an exercise bike.

The large terrace has a dining table with 4 chairs. The outdoor storage room has 3 excellent touring bikes: 2 for  ladies  and 1 men's bike. The house is fully furnished. You only need to bring your personal items. 

If you want to work there: there are two workstations, two extra screens and superfast internet. 

Because we are allergic to cats, only a dog is allowed.

The Bosatelier is located in a small-scale private forest park 'De Witte Berken' with an abundance of trees. Squirrels walk back and forth and at night you can hear the owls. From the house you can walk or cycle straight into the forest. A ten-minute walk and you enter the special dog park that has been built by our neighbor. At 3 km is an 18 hole golf course. Nearby are many estate shops selling organic products.

Lochem is a ten-minute bike ride away, known for its lively market square with many restaurants, quality shops, cafes and terraces. The municipality has the highest density of estates in the Netherlands and was declared the walking municipality of the Netherlands in 2022. Nature is very varied with the bocage landscape, rivers (Berkel and IJssel) and hills (Lochemse Berg and Kale Berg). Zutphen (15 minutes by car) and Deventer (30 minutes by car) are close by. The new museums of MORE are in Ruurlo and Gorssel.
