Holiday house

De Broekhof is one of the most beautiful holiday homes in the region. In 2008, this farm was completely renovated and furnished as a luxury holiday home for 7 people, while retaining its characteristic appearance. The location in the wooded area in the middle of the city triangle of Apeldoorn, Deventer and Zutphen is unique. These cities are easily accessible and definitely worth a visit. Deventer and Zutphen, old trading towns on the IJssel, have a pleasant city center and many cultural-historical sights. In Apeldoorn, the palace in Loo is a piece of Dutch history that everyone should see. Relaxation and entertainment for young and old can be found at the Julianatoren and the Apenheul with its many monkey species in a natural environment.
The immediate surroundings of the Broekhof consist of nature reserves and agricultural areas.
There is ample opportunity to walk from the Broekhof to the adjacent estates. A network of cycle paths challenges you to explore the wider area from the Veluwe to the Ijssel.
The Bussloo Recreation Park is (not too) short distance from the Broekhof. A very large pool of water created by the excavation of sand provides ideal swimming water for young and old. There are beaches and sunbathing areas. You can get drinks and simple food at some kiosks. Radios and other noise producing devices are not permitted, so your peace and quiet is assured in this regard.
Adjacent to the recreation park is a so-called pitch and putting course. A challenging game for everyone to play a ball in a hole with golf clubs.
There is also a "real" 9-hole golf course adjacent to the recreation park.
Thermen Bussloo offers a sauna and various wellness programs.
In the village of Klarenbeek (2 km from the Broekhof) you will find a very good supermarket and some other shops. Restaurant Pijnappel there is an excellent choice if you do not want to cook yourself.
A little further away in the other direction than Klarenbeek is the village of Voorst. There you will also find a number of shops and a supermarket. The Pancake House in Voorst is known throughout the area. The indoor and outdoor playground at the pancake house will fascinate your (grand)children so much that you can quietly await your order while enjoying a drink.
De Broekhof is the ideal base to enjoy the many fun things you can do in this region.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

The house has a spacious bright living room with an extensive open kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with a ceramic hob with extractor, a combination microwave oven, a refrigerator, a dishwasher and plenty of cupboard space. The living room has a sitting area with comfortable sofas. There is a television with cable television and a DVD player. Between the sitting area and the kitchen is a dining table with chairs for 7 people. An outside door at the sitting area gives direct access to a spacious terrace with a garden table and garden chairs. On the ground floor is a double bedroom with private bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. Next to this bedroom is a room that can be used as a play corner, extra dining room or office. Next to the kitchen is a utility room with a washing machine, a tumble dryer and an extra sink. This utility room has its own door to the outside that can be used as a "practical" front door. There is also a coat rack here which can be used for wind jackets etc. A beautiful oak staircase leads to the floor where there are 2 spacious double bedrooms and a bathroom with shower, sink and toilet. All bedrooms have box spring beds. On the ground floor, the floor is almost completely barrier-free.
Around the house is a large lawn. Two knotted lime trees stand in front of the house in the classical way. On one side the garden borders the surrounding forest and on the other the lawn borders a meadow. A beech hedge borders the lawn on the side of the road. There is a large picnic table and weatherproof garden furniture.
There is ample opportunity to walk in the surrounding forests. It is also possible to make longer walks in the direction of the IJssel and in the direction of the Veluwe. There are also many cycle paths in both directions. The recreation park Bussloo is close by. This park has a very large pond with many swimming beaches. In the summer there are a few kiosks with some chairs and tables open where you can get coffee, tea, soft drinks, cookies, etc. Thermen Bussloo with sauna and many wellness and beauty programs is adjacent to the recreation park
Right next to the recreation park Bussloo is the golf course de Breuninkhof (9 holes). The 18-hole golf course De Scherpenberg is 5 km from the Broekhof. There are more golf courses in the wider area. There is another pitch and put course at the Bussloo recreation park.
