You can also cycle in nearby Montferland, in Vorden with its eight castles or the Oude IJsselroute. What about a visit to the medieval Hanseatic cities of Zutphen and Doesburg or the beautiful town of Bronkhorst? Or a more culinary holiday? The Achterhoek has many excellent restaurants. For families there is a very rural playground with cafe and terrace on 10 min. There are also two swimming pools nearby: an outdoor swimming pool in the woods and an indoor swimming pool. Various forest areas and country estates are within walking distance. Hummelo also knows the excellent restaurant "De Gouden Karper", where Eduard van Beinum has given a reception.
