**FROM 24/11 IN A CHRISTMAS ATMOSPHERE** Welcome to our forest lodge, located in a unique place on the Veluwe in the forest area of Emst (near Epe). Our holiday home has been renovated with passion. A lot of wood/natural tones have been used and therefore has a tough warm atmosphere/appearance. It is the place to escape the hustle and bustle & experience pleasant moments together. Located on a small authentic natural park on a spacious plot of 750m2. From the lodge you can walk straight into the forest. Inside you can enjoy an extensive luxury kitchen with bar. There is a spacious living room with sitting and dining area with cozy gas fireplace. There are two bedrooms with 2x double box springs and a comfortable bathroom with rain shower, entirely on the ground floor. French doors lead you to the attractive veranda where you can relax & enjoy the outdoors. In the beautiful fire-sitting pit you can warm up during the evenings. In all seasons a wonderful holiday home to stay in nature. 

Nature & surroundings lodge:
Drive up the forest path and you arrive at that wonderful place in nature with rustling trees, lots of greenery and silence. Surrounded by nature, you breathe fresh air here, mixed with the scent of pine trees. When the first rays of sunshine show themselves in the morning, you wake up rested by rustling leaves, chirping birds or cheeky squirrels. When dusk falls, there is a good chance that you will spot a deer/deer, wild boar, badger or fox. You can even go on a game tour with the forester, 100% game guarantee! At night it is quiet and still really dark here, and you can admire countless stars over the treetops in clear weather. Hear the call of an owl or the tapping of the woodpecker. It makes you realize that you are really in nature...

On the other hand, there is a lot to see and experience in the area.  It is an excellent base for walking and cycling tours and various trips. Think of Paleis het Loo, Apenheul, Heerderstrand, Koningin Julianatoren, the Veluwse Bron, Cannenburgh Castle golf courses and beautiful places such as Deventer, Elburg, Zwolle, Apeldoorn and Vierhouten are close by.

The energy consumption includes central heating and showering by means of the central heating boiler. The gas fireplace is an extra (luxury) facility that you can use. If the consumption is exceptionally high, this can possibly be settled afterwards.

Cancellation Policy:

In case of cancellation up to the 42nd day before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs are 30% of the travel sum.

- In case of cancellation from the 42nd day to the 28th day before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs are 60% of the travel sum.

- In case of cancellation from the 28th day before the start of your stay, the cancellation costs are 100% of the travel sum.

Then bring your walking shoes and combine a day at the beach with a lovely walk through the Veluwe landscape or play a game of Pitch & Putt Golf.

Crown domain Het Loo is more than worth a visit. It is beautiful to walk in the Palace Park, where nature forms the backdrop for beautiful cultural-historical elements. The influence of the House of Orange-Nassau is palpably present in the Palace Park.
Many walking and cycling paths cross the extensive Houtvesterij. Here you will find various marked hiking trails that vary in length from 2.5 to 14 kilometers. In the Houtvesterij, forest areas and open spaces alternate. In total, the Palace Park and the Houtvesterij together measure more than 10,000 hectares. Cycling, walking and nature lovers can indulge themselves in this unique area.

The Veluwe, according to many, is the most beautiful nature reserve in the Netherlands and we think so too! Discover the beautiful forests, heathlands, sand plains, rivers, and lots of wildlife!

Each forest has a wide variety of trees, including beech, oak and conifers. Special animal species that occur there include: red deer, roe deer, fox, pine marten, badger, and grass snake.

This walking route across the Veluwe takes you past beautiful heathlands and special places such as the Hidden Village in Vierhouten. A long walking route, which offers the opportunity to have a nice picnic along the way.

Hiding place: During the Second World War, many people looked for a place to hide. The Hidden Village near Vierhouten was such a refuge. It offered shelter to, among others, Jewish families and young men who wanted to avoid the labor commitment and stranded pilots.
