You enter Inn de Berghen Zermatt in the central hall. Take a seat on the long bench, a great place to put on or take off your walking or cycling shoes while sitting. From the central hall you open the front door to your own holiday home.
Your own hall offers plenty of space for coats and shoes and there is a toilet. And then you enter your holiday home...
The beautiful, handmade kitchen made of old barnwood is fully equipped; a gas stove, oven, refrigerator with freezer and dishwasher. Of course, there is also an electric kettle and a Nespresso machine. The kitchen is located in the same room as the dining area. Next to the kitchen is the cozy but above all very pleasant sitting area. Curl up in a corner of the lovely sofa with a good book or watch a good movie on the 4K TV (you can use Netflix with your own login details). Or listen to your favorite music on the radio or CD via the Denon Bluetooth installation (fast, free fiber optic WIFI).
At the top of the stairs you reach the landing with a (separate and second) toilet. It is wonderful to relax in the shower (rain and hand shower) in the beautiful bathroom. The bathroom table offers plenty of space for putting down toiletries. There is a nice hairdryer and hooks are of course plentiful!
The bedroom on the first floor can rightly be called the master bedroom. It is nice that the windows can be opened, but the air conditioner also ensures a wonderfully cool room on warmer days!
In the linen room, which is adjacent to the central hall, you can use the washing machine and dryer. There you will also find an ironing board. iron, drying rack and some cleaning supplies.
At the rear of the holiday homes there is a spacious garden with nice places to relax at any time of the day. The sauna and private veranda with dining table and BBQ are also located here. When used, the sauna is exclusively available to you!
Within a minute you can walk into the forest for a beautiful walk over the Kale Berg and Lochemse Berg. In just a few minutes you can cycle between the beautiful countryside. The nature here is indescribably beautiful, the peace comes over you, you imagine yourself in a painting with breathtaking views, fields full of flowers (and cows) and beautiful farms. Add to this the warm welcome, the many pleasant terraces, eateries, castles, cultural opportunities and nice (farm) shops! You don't have to go abroad to get away from it all!
Are you planning to walk the 13th, beautifully green, stage of over 13.5 kilometers of the Pieterpad? Barchem is located in the immediate vicinity of the beautiful villages of Laren and Vorden and Inn de Berghen is therefore an excellent 'base' for this walking route!
Or do you like to go out on your mountain bike? MTB route Lochem (top among the MTB routes in the Netherlands), has many elevation meters and challenging single tracks over the Paaschberg, the Lochemse Berg and the Kale Berg (located around the corner from Inn de Berghen).

We have furnished our home with beautiful furniture, accessories and a lot of attention to detail. For this reason, our home is not baby/child friendly and we focus on rental to adults only.
Climbing stairs is unavoidable in this holiday home, which may make the house less suitable for people with mobility problems. Unfortunately, the holiday home is not wheelchair friendly.
We are happy to offer our guests a completely smoke-free stay; smoking is not permitted in the houses or in the garden.
Bringing pets is also not allowed.
