Nicely enclosed you sit here in the hot tub, staring at the Achterhoek stars.
So from the door onto the terrace. Bring your cup of coffee and relax. Oh yes .... wonderfully light room.
Walk past the house to the back garden. Place your bike in the shed and walk straight through the hot tub.
What a wonderful room. Nice and light and sunny. Too much sun? Lower the screens.
A kitchen with all the trimmings. Induction, extractor, oven, microwave, fridge / freezer and dishwasher. Because hey ... it's a vacation, right?
Nice to hear. Nice living room with a nice wood stove. Also nice that woodwork and those tiles. It is a wonderful place.
A flower is already waiting for you. Much more, but flowers anyway.
Just say it. Have breakfast at the table or go outside? There is the same green environment everywhere. Let's start with a Nespresso?

This is the upstairs bedroom. A fantastic place. Wake up in the morning, open the blackout curtains and look out over all the greenery from your bed. Who gets the coffee?
Nice is not it? Wake up, open curtains and you are, as it were, among the plants.
A fantastic room with underfloor heating. Wonderfully warm in winter. In the summer this is a nice cool room. And how funny ... you look into the garden like that.
Each bed has a nice reading light and the option to charge your phone.
A sturdy bunk bed with good mattresses offers space for 2 extra people.
A nice bathroom. Modern toilet. And you can use the washing machine. But think of your peace .... it is vacation!
This shower is great. Nice to set on temperature. A central exhaust system is present. Doors close and just enjoy.
Even an outlet has been thought of. Behind the mirror in the cupboard ... for your toothbrush, hair dryer or shaver. Just turn on the light and you look patent again.

This is the rear of the house. A fantastic garden with several seating areas. We have screens and a large parasol.
The living room has a cozy look. The SmartTV offers options to log in to your own streaming services. We have a complete TV offer. There is also air conditioning.
The master bedroom. Wonderful beds. Peace. Sleep well.
The hot tub is preheated by us with fresh water. So on arrival... splash in, have a glass and the holiday can begin.
Look... the sauna. It is so nice that you can change in the vestibule and put on your swimwear.
This is the entrance to the house. You will be surprised by the surprising layout of the garden with various seating areas.

The living room has a nice wood stove. We provide sufficient wood. Atmospheric warmth.

The kitchen is fully equipped. Oven, dishwasher, fridge-freezer. We provide the dishwasher tablets and kitchen linen. Well actually everything is present in this kitchen. Free to use.

Around the house we vary as much as possible with plantings and flowers. Every moment something else blooms.
Our holiday home is centrally located in the Achterhoek. Ideal from there to discover this beautiful region on all sides
Our blooming herb garden is a feast for the insects. But we also hope that our guests enjoy it. There is a variety of herbs, including chives, sage, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, fennel, maggi, mint, tarragon, lemon verbena, garlic chives and oregano. Free to use.
The spacious living and dining room is attractively furnished. Be pleasantly surprised. An excellent Bose sound system is available: play our DVD/CDs or bring your own.
The kitchen is fully equipped: hob, extractor hood, oven/microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Furthermore, of course, the necessary pots and pans. We have decorated the kitchen the way we like it ourselves. There is of course always the alternative of eating out in Zelhem or somewhere else.
Unwind in this pleasant living room. There are two extra chairs for the dining area if desired.
The downstairs bedroom is directly adjacent to the bathroom. There are patio doors to the outside with separate terrace. Who wouldn't want to wake up with a view of greenery, right from your bed. An (extra high) Auping bed that is not only comfortable but also well (manually) adjustable.
Also from the bedroom upstairs a nice view over the green. Enjoy reading in bed? That's possible, handy Auping lights have been installed in the upstairs bedroom. And be surprised by the feeling of space due to the high ceiling!

Do you want to enjoy the peace and quiet but still have to work? On the first floor we have an excellent workplace with a (height) adjustable desktop and good WiFi. There are pleated curtains to allow more or less (sun)light.
There are two terraces. One is adjacent to the living room and one to the downstairs bedroom. This way you can play with sun and shade. There is now an awning on the terrace next to the bedroom (not yet in the photo). You can of course also use either lawn.
A handy shed that fits 4 bicycles and garden tools. There is space for 2 cars in the parking lot.

We invite our guests to deposit the green waste (peels, coffee grounds, eggshells) in the compost bin.
There is much to do and discover in the area. Castles, museums, walking, cycling, wildlife spotting, vineyards, picturesque towns, and possibly. on Saturday afternoon motocross behind the park. For more information, see Tips from the landlord on this site.
Nearby, many local products are offered at roadside stalls.
Of course we can tell you that we think we have a nice holiday home in a beautiful environment, but even more credible is what our guests say about our house in the reviews on this site.

The cozy living room has both electric heating and an attractive wood stove with free use of firewood. The patio doors give access to the terrace, which is located on the south.
The garden is fully fenced and at the terrace at the front there is various playground equipment in its own garden. So enjoy for both young and old.
The kitchen is complete and fully equipped. There is a combi oven/microwave, fridge with 2 freezer drawers, ceramic hob, extractor hood, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, coffee filter machine, grill/sandwich maker.
For young and old, there is plenty to discover and do in the immediate vicinity. Experience the Achterhoek mentality; Friendly, down-to-earth and helpful. Nature experience in combination with culture and historical elements. Feel welcome and enjoy the idyllic places.
At the six-seater dining area you can dine for hours or play a board game together. There are various board games in the cupboard.
A day of rain? Then enjoy a book by the fireplace or play a game together or a game of shuffleboard.
The seating area consists of a comfortable 3 seater sofa and loveseat.
The holiday home has a bedroom on the ground floor, and a stair gate on the upper floor. So also very suitable for people who have difficulty walking, as well as families with children.
Holidays also mean a good night's sleep. The spacious bedroom on the upper floor is equipped with box-spring beds with a topper for a good night's sleep.

There is a private parking space at the house, where two cars can easily be parked. You can store your bicycles in the barn and there is a charging point for electric bicycles.
You can use the firewood for free in front of the wood-burning stove.
Whether in a cozy town, as well as in nature or by the water, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy all the goodies that the Achterhoek has to offer.
In the Achterhoek, hospitality is there for the taking. Along most cycling and walking routes you will come across many stalls where various artisanal regional products are often offered for sale such as ice cream, meat, cheese, fruit, plants or homemade jam.
In the Achterhoek you will find many activities for the whole family. For young and old, there is plenty to discover and do in the immediate vicinity. At a uutblaoshuusken (which means blow out in English) you can take a break and often you can grab a cup of coffee or tea yourself.
Junction 33 is next to the park. There are several cycling and walking routes starting from the holiday home. Mountain bikers and cyclists can also indulge themselves here.
From the house you can walk straight into de Schans. Here is a watchtower and the historic site the English redoubt. It played a major role in the Battle of Grolle in 1627. There are several hiking trails, mountain bike trails and a large fishing pond.
Lievelde is located in one of the most beautiful places in the Achterhoek. Surrounded by the green tranquility of vast forests and meadows and historic towns. Starting point for various cycling and walking routes. In our house there is a folder with many cycling and walking routes in the area.
Almost nowhere else in the Netherlands is the variety of the landscape so varied; Forests, meadows, flower verges, streams, hedges, farms and castles form a beautiful bocage landscape.
Nature reserve with wild orchids in Lievelde. Nature in the Achterhoek invites you to come and discover its beauty. Whether you want to hike or cycle, photograph or spot plants and animals, there is something for everyone.
Weenink cheese farm is in full operation and the children can cuddle the cows and calves. Discover the farm together and play in the large sandbox. Or would you rather stroll through the meadow for a game of farmer's golf? That is also possible. Cheese and local products are sold in the farm shop.
In Winterswijk there is a small goat farm Brommels. Here you can experience the whole process, from blade of grass to milk and cheese. And of course watching the goats and milking the goats. If children like it, it is possible that they can help with this.
De Heikamp is a beautiful farm with an attractive family restaurant. But also starting point for various activities; a gnome route through the forest, wandering through the largest maze in the Netherlands or rather climbing in the climbing forest Achterhoek. It's all possible.
Rain or shine, always fun! Megapret is an outdoor and indoor playground where there is plenty to do for young and old. There is an indoor playground of 1500 m2, and the outdoor playground with traffic square, water playground and an 18-hole adventure golf course is no less than 20,000 m2.
The Zwillbrocker Venn nature reserve just across the German border near Groenlo, where you can watch flamingos, is definitely worth a visit.
Go back in time... The Achterhoek has many castles. A number of them are still inhabited and sometimes open to the public. Almost all castles are surrounded by estates with plenty of walking and cycling opportunities.
Summer, winter, autumn, spring, there is always something going on. Every season has its charm.
Bredevoort is a picturesque book town and is known for its many bookshops and outdoor bookshelves. In addition, an international book market takes place four times a year.
In and around the Leemputten Nature Park, relaxation and fun are central. Take a walk through the loam area. Discover the animal-rich nature reserve by pedal boat or go (carp) fishing. Come and enjoy the terrace or on the beach while the children play in the playground.
