Sleep in peace, between Elfstedenwater and meadow below Leeuwarden. Suitable for 6 people with a double bedroom and a 4-person bedroom.

The farm dates from 1867 and you can see and feel that. Not everything, or frankly, nothing, is perfectly straight or new, and that's part of the character of this place. If you are looking for an authentic farmhouse with atmosphere and history, then this is the place to be.

With six people, the living spaces are large and spacious. You will stay in the middle of nature, with nice rooms and a beautiful spacious kitchen. Outside you have a view of the water or the meadows. Pets are welcome.

In the yard you will find a restaurant and a private sauna that can be reserved. You can cycle, paddle, sloop or just do nothing.

Inside you will find two beautiful bedrooms with a lovely bed and a shared shower and toilet.

There is a spacious kitchen, cozy sitting areas and plenty of space to dine together, play games or relax. Large windows offer a view of nature and the surrounding meadows.

There is also plenty of space outside to sit, chat or just enjoy the silence. Everything has been carefully arranged for a relaxing stay.

The farm has its own entrance and front door. Outside there is a private terrace with views over the meadows. In addition, you can use the orchard and the yard around the farm.

During your stay we are ready to make it extra pleasant. Do you have a question, are you looking for a nice walking route or do you want to share something? Please feel free to contact us.

In the yard is restaurant WeidumerHout, where you are welcome for breakfast, lunch or dinner when it is open. Reservations are useful, especially on weekends. The sauna is also located in the yard and can be booked privately.

You will stay in an authentic group farm near the Elfstedenwater and vast meadows. Everything is private: a private entrance, several bedrooms with a bathroom, a nice kitchen, seating areas inside and a terrace outside.

Dogs are welcome — please let us know in advance. You can go on the water with a SUP, canoe or sloop. The area is perfect for walking and Leeuwarden is about 5 kilometers away, about 15 minutes by bike.

Parking is free and there is a charging station available. And if you need anything or want to make your stay even more enjoyable, feel free to let us know — we're here for you.

Hi, how nice of you to read this. At Pean-buiten and at me it is always about you or your group. Your experience is most important to me. It is my passion to exceed your expectations again and again. I live in Friesland and also like to be involved in hospitality in my spare time.

My other motivation is sustainability. I think it is very important to take good care of our earth and our people. I always record a short video about that on Sustainable Tuesday.

Cancellation Policy:

For our group accommodations, the RECRON conditions for group accommodations apply. In case of cancellation, a percentage of the agreed price will be charged:

more than 12 months before arrival: 10%
12 to 6 months before arrival: 30%
6 to 4 months before arrival: 70%
4 to 2 months before arrival: 80%
within 2 months before arrival: 95%
on or after the day of arrival: 100%

Sloop boating, discover the water in style
At Pean-buiten you can enjoy the luxury and convenience of our electric sloops. They are ideal for a few hours or a whole day on the water. Quiet, sustainable and close to nature, the ideal way to visit the Alde Feanen National Park.

Routes available
You will receive a route map from us with various recommended routes, with an indication of the sailing time. We offer 4 standard routes. But of course you have all the freedom to choose your own route.

The Alde Feanen National Park: a natural treasure
The Alde Feanen National Park, a paradise for nature and bird lovers, starts near Pean-buiten. This low peat bog, created from peat excavations, is the perfect destination to explore by sloop.

Electric boating
The boat sails fully electric, which makes the boat quiet and sustainable. You can sail all day without having to recharge. The operation is also very simple because the boat is electric.

Learn to sail or surf during your holiday
Pean-buiten shares its terrain with the best sailing school in the Netherlands.

In addition to sailing camps and fixed course moments (for more info see www.zeilschoolpean.nl), we also provide private lessons for children from 7 years old. Adults are also very welcome!

Instructors
The lessons are provided by qualified instructors. We train the instructors ourselves and work with the National Water Sports Diploma (NWD).

National Water Sports Diploma
The National Water Sports Diploma is the standard for giving sailing and surfing lessons in the Netherlands. You can get your first diploma after just 2 days of lessons. The progress is tracked online so you can continue working on your diploma at any time (also at other affiliated locations).

Private lessons
The instructor is there just for you! Together with your instructor, we will coordinate the start and end times and the desired boat type. You can also get private lessons together with your brother, sister, boyfriend, girlfriend, nephew, niece, etc.
