This spacious, partly thatched holiday farm is located directly on the Prinses Margriet Canal on a spacious plot of 10740 m² and has its own harbour. There is a plot of meadow and the piece of land is largely a nature reserve. The nature house, from around 1926, has been largely renovated and is located at the end of a cul-de-sac.
The private driveway of 700 meters takes you to an oasis of peace, privacy and nature. There is a small harbor, a natural pond on site suitable for children and various terraces around the house. The kitchen with cooking island is the core of the house. The kitchen is equipped with a large Boretti cooking unit with double oven and five burners. The living room has patio doors to the south-facing terrace with a view of the large pond. Three of the five bedrooms and the separate bathroom are located on the ground floor. Two spacious bedrooms are on the first floor and use the downstairs bathroom. One of the three bedrooms (master bedroom) downstairs has its own bathroom. In total there are ten single beds, divided over five bedrooms, all of which can be converted into a double bed with Velcro closure at the bottom.
The holiday farm is located in Warten, a village in the municipality of Leeuwarden and is located on the Prinses Margriet Canal near a busy crossroads of water (Frisian: the Krúswetters). On the other side of the canal is the nature and water sports area De Alde Feanen National Park. Accessible from Wartena Marina with the solar-powered bicycle and pedestrian ferry 'De Oerhaal', or directly from the plot with a boat.
The house is located on the water, sound and / or voice carries far over here. It is not allowed to cause nuisance after 23:00 by means of voice and/or music.
