About the house
Our holiday home called 'Nescio' is a quiet, colorful house located on a cul-de-sac, equipped with all modern conveniences and a touch of traditional Frisian warmth. The house was built in the 60s of the last century, and that can still be seen in authentic details. The house has three attractive bedrooms on the ground floor (two double rooms and a five-person room), a bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, and a fully equipped modern kitchen with long table. Through the large sliding doors you go to the garden where you can enjoy the outdoors. On the spacious terrace there are several places to read, eat, sunbathe, or just stay in the shade. On the side of the house is a spacious lawn, fun for children to play or set up a tent! There is also a wooden shower room outside. On the first floor there is a cozy living room with lounge area, dining table, TV and fireplace. On the first floor there is a spacious balcony at both the front and the back of the house. Located directly on calm waters, with the Terhernster Poelen and the Sneekermeer 'around the corner', our house is perfect for a relaxing holiday in which all kinds of water sports can be practiced. The house has a spacious private harbor and long jetty, so you can also bring your own boat. You have access to a barbeque and a single kayak and double canoe. From the house you can do all kinds of things, such as a visit to the Kameleon village, a walk along the Sneekermeer, or a day trip to Leeuwarden or one of the other beautiful Frisian cities. There are several cozy eateries in the area.
