Away from the hustle and bustle, on a small-scale holiday park (Parc Sondel). The Sinnewizer (Frisian for sundial) is your comfortable holiday home, fully equipped: spacious, brightly furnished with a spacious leafy garden and spacious terraces (south and west). With six beds spread over three spacious bedrooms (one downstairs, two upstairs), cozy gas fireplace, WiFi, TV with Chromecast and DVD. An open kitchen with dishwasher and combination microwave (recently newly installed Nov. 2023) and a cozy dining area. A private parking space (one car) and a storage room with washing machine and dryer. Two electric bicycles are available in the storage room.
The park has a playground with playground equipment and table tennis table. From the Sinnewizer you can look up the wide meadow landscape nearby, with the bird-rich Sondelerleien within a ten-minute walk. Immediately north of the park the woods start where you can also make beautiful walking and cycling trips.
Sondel is located between Balk and Lemmer and between the IJsselmeer and the Slotermeer. There are several walking and cycling tours directly in the vicinity of Sondel. A tour of Slotermeer by bike, or for the fanatics among us: the Eleven Cities Route (220km!). The Gaasterland is home to many small towns such as Sloten, Balk and Stavoren, but the undiscovered Oude- and NijeMirdum, Mirns, Laaksum, Bakhuizen and Rijs are also worth a bike ride! And what about Skarl and the Red Cliff?!
In Sloten and Balk there are possibilities to rent a sailboat or a sloop. Furthermore, the province of Friesland offers many opportunities for a day out in any weather, for which the Sinnewizer is an excellent starting point.
