The holiday villa is quiet with a lot of privacy and has a beautiful and spacious forest garden. The living room has an open kitchen (various built-in appliances including dishwasher and fridge/freezer combination) and has a spacious dining area for 6-8 people, an attractive sitting area and has French doors to the woodland garden.
The woodland garden, with a south-facing terrace and an east-facing terrace with barbecue, is wonderfully sunny and also has shady spots among the old trees.
On the ground floor there is also the bathroom with a sink, toilet, bath and shower. There is also a bedroom on the ground floor.
On the upper floor with 2nd toilet there are 3 bedrooms with sinks, large wardrobes and comfortable beds. The house is attractively and comfortably furnished.
The IJsselmeer and the beautiful Frisian inland lakes are a short distance away (good facilities and water sports).
The village of Oudemirdum has various facilities (supermarket, bakery, butcher, restaurants, bicycle rental and a bank). Just outside the village you will find a beautiful beach pavilion on the IJsselmeer. Gaasterland itself is slightly hilly with forests and wide views.
There are some picturesque towns of the 11 Frisian cities in the area. Gaasterland has numerous walking, cycling and horse riding trails.
There is a large children's playground in Rijs and a 9-hole golf course and tennis courts at Oudemirdum.
