In the heart of Friesland, between Bolsward, Sneek, Grou, Leeuwarden and Franeker, the former reformed church of Easterwierrum can accommodate up to 10 guests.
ievers opened on July 23, 2012.
The pulpit, organ and tower clock (1537) are reminders of old times and form a nice contrast to the modern interior. Thanks to its high/low bed, Miva bathroom/toilet and platform lift, Ievers is extremely suitable for the elderly and disabled.
Come and enjoy comfort, atmosphere and a wonderful get-together. With beautiful terp villages, Eleven Cities towns and tourist attractions such as the Frisian lakes nearby.
Church
A large living/living kitchen has been created in the church hall with a long dining table for 10 people, a cooking island with a 6-burner gas stove, refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven, microwave, coffee maker, kettle and extensive kitchen inventory.
Utility room with washing machine and dryer and iron.
Three bedrooms with double bed, washbasin and garden doors.
One of the double beds has a high/low bed, suitable for disabled people.
Bedroom with 2 bunk beds and sink.
Two bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. One bathroom is fully adapted for the disabled and is adjacent to the bedroom with a high/low bed.
Via the stairs (or platform lift) you reach the 1st floor with landing and access to a raised terrace with seating and panoramic views.
Here is a spacious sitting area with television and audio equipment.
A platform lift (suitable for rollators and wheelchairs) gives access to the 1st floor. We do not allow dogs in this holiday home. We are happy to make an exception for guide dogs. Do you want to take your four-legged friend on holiday? Then choose our other holiday church, the Kraak van Van Dam in Oosterbierum.
The garden is located around the church and is very spacious. The garden has beautiful old fruit trees, several terraces, a barbecue and swing.
