De Rietreiger is a wonderfully light and spacious holiday lodge (65 m2) with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms en suite. The holiday lodge is fully equipped and luxurious, with even its own private sauna in the sheltered backyard. Sauna package can be booked optionally. See explanation of the prices.

In the Rietreiger you can relax and enjoy a holiday near De Alde Feanen National Park. Enjoy the peace, comfort, water or take the bike for a nice trip. De Rietreiger is located on the cycling routes of 'the 8 of Grou' and close to other nice Frisian villages and towns. So there is always something fun to do. Or enjoy 'doing nothing' in our spacious holiday lodge with free secure Wi-Fi, air conditioning and a Philips Ambilight Smart TV.

Two bedrooms and two bathrooms!

Both bedrooms have super quiet air conditioning (hot and cold) and each has its own bathroom with rain shower, sink combination and Infrared ceiling heating and Rituals soap and shower foam. The beds are extra long and comfortable hotel box spring beds (210cm) from Eastborn with 4-season duvets. One of the two bedrooms has a spacious niche where the (present) baby camping bed can be placed.

De Rietreiger has a spacious and bright living room with sliding doors to the sunny terrace with lounge set (in summer) and dining table. Adjacent to the living room is the luxury kitchen with dishwasher, induction hob, combi microwave and large refrigerator. In addition to an extensive kitchen inventory, there is also a kettle and a Nespresso (original) and Senseo coffee machine. In the utility room, a new washing machine, heat pump dryer and a freezer are at your disposal.

Underfloor heating and 3 silent Daikin air conditioners
The Reed Heron is suitable for a wonderful stay in both summer and winter as it is excellently insulated. In addition, the living room has electric underfloor heating and there are 3 super quiet Daikin air conditioners (hot/cold): in both bedrooms and in the living room with open kitchen.

A 100% electric holiday lodge
With an eye to the future, we have chosen to design a 100% electric holiday bungalow. Charging your car is also possible – for a fee and with your own type 2 Mennekes charging cable – in the private parking lot at the house.

Sunny terrace with Weber barbecue, bicycle storage, parking space and charging station

On the south/southwest terrace there is a Weber Spirit gas barbecue and comfortable garden furniture and parasols. There is also a charging station for hybrid and electric cars (for a fee).

Bicycles (max. 4) can be placed in the lockable bicycle shed next to the lodge.

Grou and surroundings
Our holiday lodge Rietreiger can be found on the island and water park Yn'e Lijte. A quiet park where you can also find chalets, safari lodges, tents and campers. This island is connected to Grou by a bridge and a bicycle ferry. Grou is a lively and cozy water sports village, in the middle of Friesland.

The island of Yn'e Lijte is located in the wetland area of De Alde Feanen National Park. This area invites you to go fishing or to go on the water with your own or a rented boat.

Beautiful cycling environment

In the summer season you can also cycle a beautiful '8 van Grou' cycle route - or the ferry route . A beautiful trip that takes you in one or several days from Grou through beautiful nature. Along the way you will come across various ferries and taverns. Highly recommended! Ask us about the possibilities for bike rental.
