The Franeker Hûske is located in the middle of the old center of Franeker, a ten-minute walk from the train station to Harlingen or Leeuwarden, for example.
The cottage has been tastefully renovated and offers accommodation from 1 to a maximum of 4 people. There are two bedrooms, one with a large double bed. (180 x 200 cm) and one with two single beds (90 x 200 cm). Between the two bedrooms on the same floor you will find a bathroom with shower, toilet and vanity unit.
On the ground floor you will find the living room / kitchen with patio doors to the terrace with a view over the canal. Garden chairs are provided. The kitchen has a dishwasher, an oven, a microwave and two types of coffee makers. The cottage has free WiFi and Digitenne TV (here you can see 34 Dutch and English channels, unfortunately no German or French ones).
The Eise Eisinga Planetarium has recently become a Unesco World Heritage Site and is an extension of our street. The Martena Museum is also highly recommended. The tourist information information is also located here.
The surroundings of Franeker are great for walking and cycling. You can park your (electric) bicycle at the end of the long corridor and possibly charge the battery or rent (electric) bicycles in the area. You can take a city walk of about 1.5 hours with a guide. From Harlingen, one-day trips to Vlieland or Terschelling can be booked by boat.
The rental price is based on two people. For each additional person, € 25.00 per person will be added. We only rent for a whole week, with a maximum of 2 weeks.
