Visit a Unesco World Heritage Site such as the Society of Benevolence Frederiksoord and prison museum Veenhuizen, the Wouda Pumping Station, Schokland, the Wadden Sea or visit the "open" museums such as Orvelte, the dolmens (e.g. Diever and Havelte), the Waterloopbos, the Frisian and Drenthe villages and towns in the area.
Many walking, cycling/mountain biking and horseback riding routes in and around the adjacent NP 't Drents-Friese would.
