Our forest house is located on a very large private site (over 4,100 m2). This and its location provide a very free feeling. You go back to the sixties, as it were. With the large windows, nature walks in, as it were. The wood stove brings an extra nice atmosphere. But you shouldn't mind that our house is sober. You do the dishes the old-fashioned way by hand and shower behind a shower curtain. In short, a real nature house.

We (Cobi and Marcel) have owned the Boshuis, which is located in the Boterpol (in Wateren), since 2009. In the very long period before this, we rented ourselves. The place is so beautiful and the holiday homes are all on huge plots of private land. It gives a very free feeling to be here. You have a lot of privacy. And it is also nice for children. They can play very safely in their own forest. That is why we are very happy to be able to share it with you as the owner.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

Cancellation and damage: You are advised to take out cancellation insurance.
Termination of the tenancy agreement in the period up to 5 months before the commencement date of the tenancy period is possible. An administration fee will be charged for this (€ 125).

For cancellation in the period from 5 months to the rental commencement date, you must make use of your own cancellation insurance. After all, cancellation costs are 100% of the rent.

Damage to and within the holiday home that has occurred during the rental period and is reasonably attributable to the tenant is at the expense of the tenant (own third-party insurance). We ask you to cooperate in reporting a claim. We are then able to arrange for a replacement. All this is in the interest of the next tenant. In the event of significant damage to the property (e.g. fire or water damage) before the rental date has started, the landlord can unilaterally terminate the rental agreement. In such a case, the tenant will be fully refunded the rent paid. In the unlikely event of accidents, injuries or illnesses occurring during your stay in or around the property, the landlord cannot be held liable for this. The landlord is not responsible for the loss of personal belongings or valuables. By accepting this reservation, it is agreed that all guests or other registered invitees expressly acknowledge the risk of damage resulting from the use of the property. It is not allowed to charge your electric vehicle via the regular power grid of our house. If that does happen, we will report it to the police. Micazu will also be informed by us immediately.

Charging your vehicle is only allowed for renters of the Merel using the EV box charging point (Boterpol 56).

Waters, the hamlet where our forest home is located, is one of the quietest areas of the Netherlands. You hear at some time the nocturnal animals become active. But it is also one of the darkest spots of the Netherlands. This lets you see countless stars and the milky blue. With a little luck you will see on some days shooting stars. And with the help of stars apps you with a good telescope to hunt planets.
