Terrazza in Toscane

Discover the secret Tuscany! Sorano, where the rocky landscape alternates with the beautiful Tuscan fields, offers an unforgettable time for all ages. Here you can go hiking, swimming, horseback riding, take creative workshops, visit villages and the surrounding area or relax with a book in one of the many cozy corners of the village.

For every taste its own pace; on various terraces you can enjoy a real cappuccino or a delicious ice cream.

This cottage is located in the heart of the historic area; with a fantastic view of the green valley. Nature is wild and time seems to stand still. Many animals walk around the greenery (such as wild boars). The surrounding rocks (of tuff) have been used since the Etruscan period (a population that was later expelled by the Romans) as a residence, animal shed, colombari, necropolis.

From our house you can take a beautiful walk through the village to the old Via Cava up to the other side and from there enjoy the view of Sorano and the hidden allotments in the area.

In Sorano you will find several canteens, dug deep in the tuff where people keep their own wine, cheese, etc., but where large dining scenes are also organized on weekends.

If you happen to walk past a canteen with an open door, don't hesitate to take a look inside; most villagers are very proud of their 'cantina' and would like to invite you to look around and taste a glass of wine ...

We accidentally discovered Sorano. If you live in Italy, there is a lot to see in terms of culture and nature. Still, we fell in love with this underestimated environment. Sorano is located in the heart of Tuscany and is wilder in character and less touristy than the more famous villages and towns in the region. Take a look at the photo album; there is much to see and do in this region. You will fall in love with Sorano too!
