Villa Allegra - and its rustic barn - is the former farmhouse of the Giovanetti family, built in 1676 to make olive oil and wine from the family olive and vineyards in Sant'Andrea di Compito. The village is located in the hills 11 km south of Lucca.
The house and barn are decorated in traditional Tuscan style, with Italian antiques and new beds.
Villa Allegra consists of two buildings that are independent of each other, with their own terraces, but which share the garden and pool. The garden (3,500m) is quiet, with the constant chatter of the stream in the background and shady spots to rest. There is space on the site for several cars and the house is easy to drive, making excursions practical. Florence can be reached within 60 minutes, Pisa and its airport 40 minutes, Lucca 15 minutes, Siena 90 minutes. Within a 5 minute walk from the house you will find the local tennis court, the Pizzeria I Tre Tigli, two local bars and a village shop with local products from the region.
The barn (165m) is spread over two floors and has 6 sleeping places in 3 bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom.
Two of the bedrooms have double beds and the middle room is a two-person room with two beds of 90 cm x 200 cm. Each bedroom has French balcony and views over the front garden.
