Located 170 meters from the Mediterranean Sea, and approx. 4 km from Mazara del Vallo (SW) on lungomare, the SP38 coastal road to Torretta Granitola.

A safe and solid house is what gives it its value and living there it has always embraced us.
The bungalow is located in Contrada San Nicola Dragonara, a few kilometers south of and as a village belonging to Mazara del Vallo. Follow the lungomare from Mazara south towards Toretta Granitola. This is the zone called Quarara which is slightly higher and is therefore relatively fresh in hot summers.
This part of the coast is preferred by residents for water sports over the busy, touristy Tonnarella, north of Mazara which is at sea level and often and quickly becomes oppressively hot in summer.
The fully furnished house is located on a dead-end, paved road. So it is quiet, except for the sound of the sea.
The easily wheelchair-accessible home has been completely renovated and rebuilt with new materials and lava stone under the floor to prevent moisture. All exterior walls are plastered and the color of the walls and wooden shutters is in accordance with regulations. The house is fully equipped with double glazing, which ensures a constant temperature of approximately 26 degrees in the summer and protects the newly insulated roof terrace against moisture and heat.
There are no thresholds in the house and it has two entrances, including the rear entrance without thresholds.
There are two bedrooms, both with air conditioning. A pallet stove in the living room has sufficient capacity to heat the entire house in the December cold.
The large, cozy dining kitchen, newly constructed in 2021, has a view and access to the backyard. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher and an American GE double-door refrigerator and freezer.
You can cook on 1 electric hob and three gas burners. And of course by using the microwave.
The original and fully restored pizza oven in the backyard works great for baking bread, pizza, preparing casseroles or roasting meat. For coffee lovers there is an espresso machine and a percolator. There is fresh drinking water from the tap.
In the immediate vicinity you will find quite a few supermarkets, some of which are of a surprisingly high standard, a bakery (open 7 days a week) and an almost daily vegetable and fish market with the tastiest products.
Local vegetable growers sell their produce at the market and good, very affordable wine is available from the shops of local wine cooperatives that are definitely worth a visit.
The cost of living in this area is significantly lower, up to an estimated 60%.
The spacious bathroom is equipped with user-friendly luxury. It has two separate sinks, a round shower, toilet and bidet and space for the washing machine
In the front garden there is a well with a depth of 17 meters with flushing water, useful for gardening and creating and maintaining your own herb garden. In the evening the garden is beautifully illuminated with solar-powered lamps.
A drain has been installed in the backyard (cortile) with the possible construction of an extra so-called "tiny house" for summer guests and extra storage.
A staircase takes you to the roof terrace (135 m2) from where you have beautiful panoramic views over the land and the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy your espresso there in the morning or evening. And spectacular stargazing at night! With the Sicilian night sky, free of air and light pollution, good binoculars are sufficient. And the neighbor likes to turn off the lights for a better view.
The house is equipped with a satellite dish and a sufficiently strong WiFi antenna.
And you can park your car, or even two, safely on your private property.
Many guests use the bungalow as a starting point for multi-day trips on the island or to other islands around. That is why we generally rent for at least 7 days or longer. Please contact us if, for example, you want to rent for 9 days and have your own arrival and departure times. Or if you want to temporarily interrupt the rental period for an excursion to one of the many islands of Italy. We will find a solution for that.
The weather is pleasant until at least the end of October or the beginning of November. Just then it is time for extra maintenance and, if necessary, renewal.
