Holiday homes in Sardinia

Would you like to go on holiday to Italy but are after something out of the ordinary? Then a holiday home in Sardinia is for you. As you probably know, each Italian island has its own specific culture and atmosphere, and Sardinia is no exception. Moreover, its capital Cagliari is absolutely worth a visit. Its many attractions are a good reason to make a city trip from your holiday home. You may be looking for a luxury villa or a cosy bungalow, but whatever your preference, you book your holiday home directly with the owner and you’ll get a much better deal!

Get a taste of pre-history around your holiday home

Sardinia has been a popular location for many centuries, and evidence of this can be seen at the ‘nuraghi’, which were constructed in the Bronze Age. These are stone towers that are unique to Sardinia and can be seen across the island. The stone towers of Su Nuraxi have even been listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. They simply must form part of your itinerary! And why not take a look at our portfolio of properties in Lanusei?

Fun facts if you choose a holiday home in Sardinia:

  • On the slopes of Monte Arci, an extinct volcano, you can come across volcanic glass. This was used in the Stone Age to make spear points and primitive knives.
  • Summer temperatures can reach great heights in Sardinia thanks to its sub-tropical Mediterranean climate. Winters are generally mild.
  • Much of the population of Sardinia speak Sard (the proper name for Sardinian) as well as Italian. Sard is now a recognised language all on its own.
