Our apartment Stella is located at the foot of Monte Rosa in Valsesia, 3 km from Varallo. The Valsesia is a beautiful area in the north of Piedmont, where you can fully enjoy nature, sports and culture.
Apartment Stella is centrally located on the river Sesia, which therefore offers the opportunity for walks in the nearby mountains, water sports (rafting, kayaking ect), bike rides, and winter sports.
Apartment Stella has been completely restored and opened since September 2022.
You enter the apartment (62 m2) through a private entrance. The living-dining kitchen has a beautiful view of the mountains through the large panoramic window.
The living room is equipped with a generous sofa, a comfortable chair, dining area with 4 chairs. For the cooler days and evenings there is an attractive wood stove, firewood is available for you. There is also central heating.
The kitchen is equipped with a Smeg 5 burner gas stove with oven, extractor hood, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and a fridge-freezer.
The apartment has two bedrooms, 1 with a double box spring and the other room has two separate 1 person box spring beds.
Upon arrival, the beds will be made for you.
The bathroom has an authentic atmosphere and is equipped with a rain shower, double sink, hair dryer, toilet and bidet.
Outside you have access to a terrace with furniture and a Weber BBQ, you can also use the spacious garden.
Towels, kitchen towels, bed linen and Wifi are included.
Environment
Our apartment Stella is centrally located 5 minutes away from the beautiful town of Varallo (Piedmont region).
Varallo has nice streets with plenty of shops, restaurants, bars and what should not be forgotten a very good ice cream parlor with the most delicious ice creams.
The valley has many sights, many small villages such as Rassa with its traditional houses and Alagna Valsesia where you can take the gondola up to 3275 meters altitude. The pilgrimage site of Sacro Monte di Varallo, recognized by Unesco as a World Heritage Site, is also worth a visit. Via a beautiful route over the Passo della Colma you will reach Lago D'Orta. A beautiful lake with charming villages.
Another reason to travel to Valsesia is the delicious food. Piedmont is also known as the king of Italian cuisine. The region is known for its wines, white truffles, mushrooms, cheese, antipasti, game and risotto.
Also in the mountains around Mountain Cabin Valsesia, there are plenty of local specialties to enjoy, such as polenta and miacce, wafer-thin crispy pancakes filled with cheese or ham. Lovely after a brisk mountain hike.
In terms of activity, there is a lot to do in the immediate vicinity, there are numerous hiking and cycling trails, and there is also a lot of water sports. You can think of rafting, kayaking, canyoning and fly fishing, the permits for which are sold in the village.
In winter you can fully enjoy the snow in the winter sports areas in Scopello Alpe di Mera (11km) and Alagna Monterosa Ski (30km), these areas are easily accessible by car from our apartment.
