Casa di Susa – authentic mountain house with spectacular views over the Alps
In a special place above the valley of Susa lies Casa di Susa, a detached mountain house from 1884 with a breathtaking view over the mountains, the valley and the city of Susa. Here you wake up with the Alps in front of you and choose from three terraces to have breakfast outside, read or enjoy the setting sun with a glass of wine at the end of the day.
Casa di Susa is located in a small and quiet mountain hamlet. The house is authentic and atmospheric, with thick stone walls and much of the original character, but at the same time offers all the comforts for a relaxing holiday.
The house is approximately 110 m² in size and suitable for up to four people. There are two sleeping areas and two bathrooms. The living room is cosily furnished and for cooler evenings there is a wood stove. There is also a fully equipped kitchen, wifi and a washing machine.
Outdoor living with fantastic views
Perhaps the most beautiful thing about Casa di Susa are the three terraces. At different times of the day there is always a nice place in the sun or in the shade. From the house and the terraces you can look for miles over the valley and the surrounding mountain peaks. The silence and space make this a wonderful place to really get away.
At the same time, you are not cut off from the environment. Below is the historic town of Susa with shops, cafes, restaurants and terraces. From the house you can make beautiful walks and the area is also very suitable for cycling (e-bike).
The Val di Susa offers plenty of opportunities for nature lovers and mountain hikers. The location is also ideal for excursions: atmospheric mountain villages, high Alpine passes and nature reserves are within reach and Turin is excellent to visit for a day of culture, shopping and good food.
A house with character
Casa di Susa is not a modern holiday park house, but a real old Italian mountain house in a unique place. It is precisely the combination of the historic character, the tranquility, the terraces and the panoramic view that makes a stay here special.
The last kilometers to the house lead up the mountain. The road is narrow in places, but easy to drive with a normal passenger car. Parking is available at the house.
For those who love mountains, nature, tranquility and authentic Italy, Casa di Susa is a wonderful place to stay for a week — or longer.
A fantastic place for mountain hiking, cycling and mountain biking (Colle delle Finestre, Strada dell' Assietta and much more. The famous Partisan Trail runs past the house. The GTA route Ceresole Reale - Susa runs along the hamlet to the top of the oldest pilgrim mountain, the Rocciamelone. 3538 m.
