Casa Monteverdi is located in the middle of the rolling vineyards of the UNESCO wine region of Monferrato: a more than 250-year-old wine farm that we have restored with a lot of love and attention into an attractive holiday home.
The fully independent ground floor offers every comfort for six guests and has its own entrance, three bedrooms, three bathrooms, two attractive living rooms and a spacious, fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen is the heart of the house and connects the two characterful living areas Tango and Mambo. This way there is plenty of room to celebrate holidays together and to find your own place every now and then.
Exclusively for your group
Casa Monteverdi is always rented exclusively to one group at a time. You do not share the accommodation, garden and swimming pool with other holiday guests.
We, Toos and Rob, live on the first floor ourselves. You can enjoy your privacy to the fullest, while we are close by if you have a question or would like to receive a personal tip for a special restaurant, a beautiful winery, a local market or one of the hidden gems of Piedmont. Casa Monteverdi is our second home and is furnished the way we like to spend our holidays: comfortable, attractive and with an eye for the details that make a stay special.
Outdoor living
The large garden is an important part of the stay. Around the house are rolling lawns, flowers, fruit trees, herbs, a young Nebbiolo vineyard and several terraces with views over the Monferrato landscape. The private swimming pool of 5 x 12 meters forms the center of the backyard and is located on a spacious sunbathing lawn with plenty of opportunity to relax.
Start the day with a leisurely breakfast on the terrace. Enjoy a quiet day by the pool or discover the area's wineries, historic villages, and local markets. End the day with a nice glass of Barbera on the terrace under the olive tree, while the sun slowly disappears behind the Alps.

The original wood-fired pizza oven has been carefully preserved. If you want to, you can learn how to bake authentic Italian pizzas yourself during one of our pizza workshops.
Discover Piedmont
Casa Monteverdi is located between Castelnuovo Calcea and Vinchio, in the middle of a region known for its excellent wines, gastronomy and beautiful landscape.
Nizza Monferrato is about 10 minutes, Canelli 15 minutes and Asti 20 minutes drive. Alba can be reached in about 35 minutes and Turin in about 75 minutes.
From Casa Monteverdi you can easily discover the wineries, markets and historic villages of Monferrato. But perhaps sometimes it is even more attractive not to go anywhere at all and just enjoy the peace, the view and the pool.
Good to know
Casa Monteverdi is equipped for 6 guests. For a 7th and 8th guest, the comfortable sofa bed in the Mambo living area can be used; There is an extra charge for this.
The accommodation is rented per week from Saturday to Saturday. All rooms are non-smoking and pets are not allowed. Due to the unsupervised swimming pool, a stay with small children is less suitable.
