Hidden in the rolling hills of Piedmont lies this spacious and attractive holiday home, with a breathtaking view over the valley and the picturesque village of Cartosio. Thanks to its location at an altitude of 320 meters, the nights in summer are not too hot, while you can enjoy the sun during the day.
The house has a living space of 250 m² and can comfortably accommodate eight people. The heart of the house is the large kitchen with generous dining table, perfect for long dinners or relaxing moments together. The kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances, including a large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, kettle and Nespresso machine. From the kitchen you walk directly onto the portico: a spacious, partly covered terrace with a magnificent view over the valley and the village.
On the ground floor you will also find a comfortable living room with fireplace and television with a chromecast. Internet with unlimited data makes streaming movies, series and music easy. In the utility room there is a washing machine and dryer. The house has four spacious bedrooms, one of which has its own bathroom on the ground floor, ideal for parents with children or grandparents. On the upper floor is the master bedroom with a large bathroom with bathtub, plus two additional bedrooms with a shared bathroom. All rooms are attractively decorated with antique furniture and the underfloor heating ensures a pleasant temperature, even in winter.
Around the house is 5 hectares of private land, for lots of privacy and relaxation. The 5 x 10 meter infinity pool (depth 0.90 to 2.20 m) invites you to swim, while two terraces with deckchairs and garden furniture are ideal for sunbathing or enjoying a book. For active relaxation, there is a trampoline and plenty of space for sports and games. Various walks can be made from the house.
The village of Cartosio, which is visible from the house, is small but offers everything you need for a comfortable stay. You will find a delicious restaurant, a pizzeria, a pharmacy and a small supermarket. For fresh bread rolls and other daily groceries, you can go to the bakery, about a 15-minute walk from the house – of course also easily accessible by car.
Acqui Terme, just under ten kilometers away, is a lively town with a charming historic center, good restaurants, cozy wine bars and terrace life. The town has nice shops and numerous supermarkets. Visit the bustling market on Tuesdays and Fridays for local produce and specialties.
The area also offers countless opportunities to enjoy culture, nature and gastronomy. Visit charming villages and towns such as Barolo, Alba and Asti, or discover the culinary riches of Piedmont with its refined cuisine and excellent wines. For those who want to be active, there are opportunities to play golf, rent e-bikes or mountain bike through the hills. The nearby village of Sasello, known for its funghi porcini and a beautiful natural park, is also well worth a visit. The river Erro is a place where you can paddle on hot days.
Within an hour you can drive, traffic jam-free, to the Ligurian coast, where you will find lively, typical Italian seaside resorts such as Varazze and Albisola, with sandy beaches and an authentic beach life without too much tourism. Cities such as Genoa, Milan and Turin can also be reached within one to one and a half hours, while Nice and Monaco are about two hours away.
But of course it is also attractive to quietly read a book by the pool and simply enjoy the peace, the view and the Italian sun.
