Villa San Vitale advises you to take out cancellation insurance, which we advise because Villa San Vitale does not refund any bookings already made. You can find different providers on the internet. For example, the ANWB, Allianz Global Assistance or the Europeesche Insurance offer good insurance. Short-term travel insurance with cancellation coverage can already be booked for € 1.60 per day with Italy (Europe) coverage. Only cancellation insurance is of course cheaper.

There are various types of insurance, an expiring insurance, which you take out per trip and a continuous travel insurance, which runs with you throughout the year.
For a nice holiday at Villa San Vitale, we recommend that you take out expiring insurance. You can also opt for two additional extensions: Observer and Compound trip .

Observer
It makes perfect sense that you can safely cancel when unpleasant developments occur at home, within your family. But what if something happens to the one that fits your home and pets? Or with the person who takes care of your business during your holiday? Or with a friend who suddenly becomes seriously ill? Even then this insurance offers a solution. Emergency calamities or natural disasters can also be additionally insured. For 1% extra premium per observer, you can co-insure anyone who can give you reason to return home.

Compound trip
If your trip consists of separate parts, such as a flight ticket or car trip, a booking in our villa and a round trip, then this is a composite trip. Failure of one of the parts does not entitle to compensation for the other parts under 'normal' cancellation insurance. If you opt for the 'Compound trip' extension, you have the perfect solution; the cancellation costs of the other parts will then be reimbursed. This insurance is fairly new and was created in response to the ash clouds in the air, so that many holidaymakers did not arrive at their holiday address through no fault of their own, or had to incur additional costs for accommodation.

If you want to insure the extension Observer or Compound Trip, you can indicate this when booking. The above is just an advice to our customers. A simple cancellation cover will be sufficient for your costs of booking in our Villa to receive a refund of the rent if unexpected this is necessary.

Requirements:
50% of the rental amount must be paid upon reservation; at the latest 4 weeks before arrival the full amount must be credited to our account.
The deposit of 50% does not apply to last minute bookings (a last minute booking is a holiday booked 3 weeks or less than 3 weeks before arrival) or bookings with additional discounts, in which case the entire amount must be paid in advance.
In case of a 50% deposit, the full amount must be credited to our account at least 4 weeks before arrival.
If the remaining amount is not in our account on time then the entire reservation can be canceled, however without refund of the deposit (so that we can still rent the holiday home with a last minute price).
We advise you to take out cancellation insurance. See our separate information about a cancellation insurance.

We only accept bookings from persons aged 18 and older. A reservation is only definitive after receipt of our confirmation and the crediting of the amount due to our account.
We will then email you the reservation confirmation directly.

We reserve the right to refuse a reservation at any time without giving reasons.

Final cleaning :
The costs for final cleaning are € 75 per apartment. So at Villa San Vitale SOTTO GRANDE (the combination Sotto e Cantina) the final cleaning is € 150, - We expect you to leave the rooms tidy.

In the event of default, additional cleaning costs may be charged.

Deposit: 3 weeks before arrival there must be paid a deposit of € 150. This will be refunded within 10 days after departure if no damage has been paid.
