Villa San Vitale advises you to take out cancellation insurance. You can find different providers on the internet. There are various types of insurance, an expiring insurance policy, which you take out per trip and a comprehensive travel insurance policy, which runs with you throughout the year. For a great holiday at Villa San Vitale, we recommend that you have expiring insurance. You can choose between two additional extensions: Observer and Compound journey; Observer That you can cancel with confidence when nasty developments occur at home, within your family, makes perfect sense. But what if something happens to the person who looks after your house and pets? Or with the person who takes care of your affairs during your vacation? Or with a friend who suddenly becomes seriously ill? Even then this insurance offers a solution. For an additional premium of 1% per observer you can also insure anyone who can give you a reason to return home. Compound trip If your trip consists of separate parts, such as an airline ticket or car trip, a booking in our villa and a tour, this is a compound trip. The failure of one of the components does not entitle you to compensation for the other components in the case of a 'normal' cancellation insurance. If you opt for the 'Compound journey' extension, you have the perfect solution; the cancellation costs of the other components will then be reimbursed acutely. This insurance is fairly new and came about as a result of the ash clouds in the airspace, as a result of which many holiday makers did not arrive at their holiday address through no fault of their own or in addition had to incur additional costs for accommodation. If you want to co-insure the Observer or Compound Journey extension, you can indicate this when booking. The above is only an advice to our customers.
