8-person villa BloemenRiviera

Please note: in 2025 we will start a major renovation on the side and back of the house. In July and August, the work is halted and the house is available for rent. In front of the house there is a terrace with plenty of seating areas. A discount has already been implemented (now 2500,- p/week instead of  3360,- p/week) ***

Our spacious holiday villa is located right by the sea between San Remo and Imperia (Italian Riviera) less than an hour's drive from Nice airport. The villa was made more sustainable and renovated in 2023. The interior has also been completely renovated.

On the ground floor you will find a spacious living room / kitchen. A spacious hall with wardrobe, a toilet and a laundry room with a washing machine and a tumble dryer. On the ground floor there is also a bedroom with a double bed, en-suite shower and sink. There are several patio doors to the terrace around the house and from every room there are sea views.

On the first floor there are three spacious bedrooms (with a total of six beds). All rooms have sea views. There is a modern bathroom, with a shower, toilet and a spacious sink. There is also a separate toilet on the first floor.

Around the house is a breathtaking terrace with 180 degrees unobstructed views over the Mediterranean Sea. The garden has several levels/terraces and is approximately 2,000 m2.

The road up to our house was paved in 2021. The house is therefore easily accessible.

The sandy beach of the village of San Lorenzo al Mare is about a 20-minute walk away. In just 10 minutes you pass several rocky beaches. Our holiday home is a great base for trips to small villages in the mountains, lazy sandy beaches; a golf course, fashionable cities such as San Remo, Imperia and Monaco; sporty canyoning tours; dolphin watching at sea, etc.

After years of vacationing in this sun-rich area, we found this lovely spot. Close to the sea, located on a slope and a spacious garden. It is a traditional Ligurian house, with beautiful Ligurian tiled floors. The villa was completely renovated and made more sustainable in 2022 (with solar panels, heat pump, etc.). The interior was also completely renovated in 2023. P.s. the road up to our villa is asphalted.

Our Italian dream
Our house is located on a hill close to the Mediterranean Sea with a 180-degree unobstructed view of the water. There is a breathtaking terrace all around and the garden offers peace and privacy. Everything will be completely renovated and modernized in 2022.

The house (approximately 140 m2) has a cozy living room / kitchen diner. The kitchen is fully equipped (dishwasher, freezer and various electrical appliances). There are windows everywhere with a view of the sea and patio doors to the spacious terrace.

On the first floor there are three spacious bedrooms all with sea views, one of which has patio doors leading to a balcony. All rooms have two beds with comfortable mattresses. The floors have attractive Ligurian tiles.

The bathroom has been completely renovated and has a sink, shower and toilet. A washing machine and dryer is available for our guests.

There is an upright swimming pool for our guests with a length of 8 meters and a double fatboy hammock.

The area is characterized by the sea, marinas, picturesque villages, hills, ancient hamlets, olive groves, an extensive cycling and walking path right by the sea, various hiking trails in the hills, fashionable cities, etc. Everything is of course accessible by car, but close to our house is a bus stop. A few times an hour the bus stops here in the direction of San Remo (west) or Imperia (east). Cycling is very popular in this area, especially after the opening of the pedestrian and bicycle boulevard on the old railway line right by the sea (currently 30 km long, in the future 40 km). You can cycle to Ospedaletti (west) or to Imperia Porto Maurizio (east). photo: San Lorenzo al Mare
The interior of the house was completely renovated in 2022, during the renovation of the villa. The beds are comfortable with new mattresses. Bed and linen is amply available and is included in the rental price. Around the house is a breathtaking terrace with a 180 degree view of the Mediterranean Sea. And several seats. We have a fatboy hammock and a lovely wicker hanging chair. The garden offers complete privacy and is characterized by a difference in height on 4 levels. Parking is possible on site.
Our house is in Piani Cipressa. We belong to the village of Cipressa. A small village, located in the hills between the fashionable San Remo and the charming Imperia. The nearest sandy beach is in the village of San Lorenzo al mare, about a 20 minute walk away (or a 5 minute bike ride). photo: the village of Cipressa
In the area you will find beach, sea, marinas, picturesque villages, hills, ancient hamlets (medieval villages), olive groves, an extensive cycling and walking path right on the sea, various hiking trails in the hills, fashionable cities, etc. Of course everything is accessible by car, but there is a bus stop near our house. A few times an hour the bus stops here in the direction of San Remo (west) or Imperia (east). The walking and cycling boulevard is one of the biggest attractions. Bicycles can be rented everywhere in the area for young and old. You can reach San Remo in 45 minutes by bike. You pass idyllic beaches, small villages and nice bars. In the evening there is plenty of strolling. Bussana Vecchia is an artists' village and was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1887. The survivors wanted nothing more to do with the village because it was said to be “haunted” and left it to its fate. In the 1960s, the first foreign artists arrived and gradually breathed new life into the village. Now it is a cozy village with various shops with handmade items, art and restaurants and well worth a visit! About a 20-minute drive from our house is the fashionable seaside resort of San Remo, known for its Casino and luxurious shopping streets. At the beginning of the last century, many celebrities came here because of the mild climate (Empress Sissy, Russian tsars, Alfred Nobel, etc). The old part of San Remo is also very much worth a visit. From the harbor you can take an excursion by boat to see dolphins and whales! Imperia was created from two cities: Oneglia and Porto Maurizio. It still has two distinct atmospheres: Porto Maurizio is characterized by winding streets that lead to the cathedral at the top of the town. Oneglia is modern and has a large shopping center and a beautiful old harbor with luxury yachts. Do not forget to visit the olive museum. A nice trip inland goes to the "witch village" Triora, which is peacefully located high in the mountains. Legend has it that witches lived here who were banished and forced to live in the houses on the outskirts of the village. The place where the funeral pyre would have been can still be visited. Curious fact… the houses on the village are still uninhabited… Monaco and Nice are a stone's throw from the Italian border. The pleasant center of Nice has numerous shops. Monaco is fascinating because of the contrast of high apartment buildings with the old atmospheric center with the palace, which is located on a hill overlooking the bay of Monaco. The Ferraris flash past you! Albenga and Ceriale are typical Italian seaside resorts with a long boulevard where at sunset both the young people stroll and the older people come together for a chat. There is also a large water park near Ceriale: 'Le Caravelle'. The nearest sandy beach is in San Lorenzo al Mare, east of our house. A pleasant village about twenty minutes walk away. After about 100 meters along the Aurelia (the coastal road) you will find the entrance to a beautiful walking path right by the sea. Along the way you pass several rocky and stone beaches (popular with the Italians) where there is plenty of swimming and snorkeling. West of our house is San Stefano al Mare. A lively seaside resort with a large boulevard and many shops and restaurants. In the summer months, the beaches are crowded and there are various performances and activities. Bussana Vecchia was completely destroyed by an earthquake in 1887. The survivors wanted nothing more to do with the village because it was said to be “haunted” and left it to its fate. In the 1960s, the first foreign artists arrived and gradually breathed new life into the village. Now it is a cozy artists' village with various shops with handmade items, art and restaurants. More than worth a visit! Lovers of Mediterranean plants can visit the beautiful Hanbury Gardens. The Hanbury Gardens were founded by Thomas Hanbury in the 19th century. Today it is one of the world's most important botanical gardens. You will find a beautiful collection of special plant species, fountains and statues.
Accessibility: Flying to Nice is the fastest. It is then an hour's drive to our house by car. The nearest station is in Imperia. From there, the house can be reached with a direct bus connection. Liguria - and also Piani Cipressa - has a wonderful, temperate climate. With the most hours of sunshine in all of Italy. From the house you can make beautiful walks through old olive groves and medieval hamlets. The beautifully situated Castellaro golf resort is about a fifteen minute drive from our house. For families Sea and beach, whale watching, hiking, canyoning, shopping, culture, cycling, skating, good food, etc.
