Autumn in Forano: where peace and beauty come together.
As the summer crowds move away, Forano really comes to life. The Sabina hills turn gold and red, the olive harvest is in full swing, and the air smells of fallen leaves and fresh truffles. This is the moment when Umbria and Lazio show their most authentic face.
Our house is located in the middle of this landscape — perfect for watching the fog rise over the hills with an espresso on the terrace in the morning, and in the evening to talk about a day of discovery over a glass of local wine. The temperatures are mild, ideal for walks through the olive groves or day trips to Rome, Orvieto or Lago Bracciano, without the tourist crowds of summer.
Autumn is also the season of the sagra's: local village festivals full of regional dishes, live music and conviviality. Think of fresh pasta with truffle, roasted chestnuts and young olive oil straight from the press.
In short: no heat, no mass tourism, but all the charm of the real Italian countryside. This is the time to come.
La Valle Verde
La Valle Verde is an attractive comfortable Italian villa of 150m2 in the nature reserve of Forano (RI). At 45 km from Rome it is located in the Sabine hills.
In this villa with private pool you can completely relax in the Italian sun. To relax, choose the sun terrace by the pool of 5 by 10 meters or the large covered outdoor terrace of the house. The house stands on 3000 m2 of land with a beautiful Mediterranean garden, beautiful trees such as an old oak, fruit trees and an orchard.
The fenced property has an outdoor kitchen with an original pizza oven®, a large BBQ and a lounge area under a pergola for good food and relaxation.
The covered outdoor terrace on the first floor (50m2) has a lounge set and a long dining table with 10 chairs for long balmy evenings and panoramic views of the Tiber and Mount Soratte.
The villa is modern and attractively furnished with lots of light and all the comfort you would expect from a luxury holiday home in Italy. With 3 bedrooms and a sofa bed in the living room, this property is ideal for families. There are 2 bathrooms with rain showers and a fully equipped kitchen.
The house combines eco-friendliness with comfort. There are 16 solar panels, a solar water heater, 3 double glazing and where possible natural or recycled materials have been used. The bedrooms and living room are air-conditioned, there is Wi-Fi throughout the house, a smart TV and there is a charging point for an electric car.
There is plenty to do in the area, enjoy beautiful medieval villages such as Casperia and Calcate, enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner, play tennis or padel at the sports park or enjoy a chef at home. Rome is easily accessible by train. There are several nature reserves in the area where you can walk at every level.
