Besides the 'sun-more-beach activities' such as swimming, kayaking, surfing and supping, this beautiful area, only 975 km from Utrecht, offers plenty of opportunities to discover the surrounding mountains with the typical villages on foot or by bike. Especially now that you can rent E-mountain bikes in Porlezza, a joint bike ride is highly recommended.
For the golf enthusiast: several 9- and 18-hole golf courses in the immediate vicinity, including Menaggio, Lanzo di Intelvi, Lugano and Como. Ski enthusiasts will get their money's worth in the nearby (1 hour) winter sports resorts such as St. Moritz (Switzerland) and Madesimo (Italy).
Our corner apartment P6 with a view of the lake at less than 20 meters, is located on the 1st floor of the Palazzo (apartment building) of the Porto Letizia complex (60 m2 - accessible by elevator and stairs). Sitting on the lovely large balcony, you can enjoy the lake with its beautiful mountainous surroundings and the typical Italian liveliness of the village of Porlezza.
Balcony is equipped with 2 large electrically operated awnings; a stone dining table with 4 chairs and 4 adjustable chairs with stone coffee/drink table.
LAYOUT
The living room has 2x2 French doors to a wonderfully spacious balcony. The sitting area is formed by a luxury sofa bed, which when folded out forms a normal bed (1.60x2.00), coffee table and 2 spacious armchairs. There is an HD flat screen TV with satellite receiver for Dutch channels and services such as netflix. The living area is equipped with a combined air conditioning/heating system.
The open kitchen is formed by the dining table with 6 chairs and a fully equipped kitchen, including a 4-burner induction hob, oven-microwave, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, espresso machine, coffee maker and kettle. It goes without saying that an extensive kitchen inventory is available as well as an ironing board, iron and vacuum cleaner.
Bedroom 1 has 2x2 patio doors to the spacious balcony. Lying on the comfortable double bed (box spring 1.80 x 2.00) you can also enjoy the breathtaking view over the lake. This bedroom also has a combined air conditioning/heating installation.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed (box spring 1.60 x 2.00), also easy to convert into 2 times a single bed.
Totally renovated bathroom in January 2022) consists of 2 separate areas:
A: bathroom cabinet with 2 sinks
B: spacious walk-in shower, toilet and washing machine

The Lido (beach area on the lake with sunbathing area): guarantee bathing fun and relaxation with sunbeds and umbrellas (rental).
Panama Beach: a cozy lounge bar during the day in the Lido, it becomes the heart of the various evening activities in the evening in high season.
CHILD FRIENDLY:
In high season (July/August) an animation team organizes activities for children from 2 to 16 years. The park has cycling and walking paths, playgrounds as well as a play boat for the little ones just outside the park on the edge of the lake.

The holiday park offers ample parking space right next to the Palazzo.
Porlezza/Groceries/Market
The picturesque town of Porlezza has about 5000 inhabitants. Porto Letizia is connected to the center of Porlezza by the boulevard. Here you will find many cozy terraces and affordable restaurants and you can wander through the old small historic center. In the high season, many things are organized in the center of Porlezza, such as live music evenings, fireworks, boat shows and yes .. it is of course Italy: various car rallies have their start and/or finish place here, and not in the last Porlezza is often included in the route of the Giro d'Italia.
For your daily shopping you can go 24/7 in the well-stocked supermarket (Carrefour) 200 meters away. On Saturdays there is a nice assorted market on the boulevard along the lake.
