We rent four chalets situated on Lake Lugano in the International Sport Camping Porlezza. Spend a wonderful holiday in Italy in a beautiful area with lakes and mountains. The chalet is fully furnished and is located on the edge of the lake. Ideal for a holiday with (small) children. The site has many facilities including a large swimming pool with three water slides, tennis courts, children's playground, beach bar, restaurant / pizzeria and a supermarket.
The four cottages are all in the street Via Rotterdam. Chalet Via Rotterdam 1 is located directly on the lake and chalets Via Via Rotterdam Rotterdam 6 and 7 are about 20-30 meters from the lake.
Porlezza - Within walking distance of the campsite you can for the grocery store and to restaurants and bars. On Saturday there is a market on the boulevard.
Lugano City - Is beautifully situated on the lake, with a beautiful long promenade. The city itself is built on the hills / mountains: you will find there is also a separate train to what takes you from the lower towards the upper Central Station.
Lugano is primarily a shop-city: pretty expensive stuff galore!
Lago di Lugano on the lake, various boat trips made worden.Vanuit Gandria towards Lugano city and return, but also from Lugano city itself to various destinations (eg Ponte Tresa from Little Switzerland and Morcote).
Menaggio - On Lake Como lies this beautiful place. Here you can enjoy ice cream on the promenade along the lake and there are fine restaurants.
Castello - Dir Switzerland and driving for the 2nd tunnel sharp right up into the mountains. If you can not drive further you have to walk to the village with old houses that are close to each other. Along the way you also comes along a stream where you can take. As a dip
Gandria - Just across the border with Switzerland is Gandria. Links park and follow the signs with Sentiero dell'Olivo. This is one of kilometers long path along the lake. Wonderful for walking, but you can also do a good endurance with a few big climb.
Monte Bre - Near Lugano, use a cog railway up the mountain after a number of possibilities arise:

Or mountain bike make the department
Foot or take the same descent
Or follow guided tours etc. etc.

Monte San Salvatore - also near Lugano (Paradiso) you can take a cog railway to the top of San Salvatore for a unique view of the lake and the Swiss Alps!
There is a small museum next to a panoramic restaurant. From there also hiking opportunities.
The Cave of Rescia - Here Lies near the corner: camping drive down Osteno right direction and this is explained.
Not the most spectacular cave in Europe, but nice just to pop inside.

Caslano is the famous chocolate museum Alprose. Here you will be told how rich chocolate originated and the current production strip has become. Throughout history

Lago di Como - This beautiful lake you can visit in several ways: by car and by boat. Or a combination thereof.
Itself we find the boat very enjoyable: from Menaggio leave all sorts of different sailings.
There is a day trip to Como (town): a two-hour cruise that takes you directly to the center of Como and later in the afternoon return. You will pass several nice places along the way and enjoy the stunning views.
Same trip you can make from the same Menaggio by car: motorway takes you through some picturesque places along the lake shores to Como. If you return to shorten the trip then this can be done via a ride on the highway. Please exit Lugano-South to come back in Menaggio.
You can criss-boating on the lake and put on the various villages touted in all folders are: Bellagio - Villa Carlotto - Varese etc. etc.
Lugano-South Mall - Here you covered shopping: Media Markt, Ikea, Conforama and Coop. What you already home to buy but did not have time, you can purchase all here.
Milan - City of world stature: Now you're just in the neighborhood, just honor with a visit! Can a car on the highway about 90 kilometers from the campsite (toll payment by credit card, Visa).
Tip, park the car at Cencero stadium (Stadium FC Milan) there take the metro to the matras. (And underground parking are cheap)
You could also take the train to Lugano. Seems to be. Really comfortable
