Casa Calénc is a well-maintained and clean holiday home and swimming pool, located in the green heart of Romagna. Hidden in the hilly landscape of the Apennines at an altitude of about 500 meters, with the sea only a 30-minute drive away.
The apartment has its own entrance and luxurious furnishings. The front doors open into the hamlet of Cossure. An old borgo where the houses are now used as "casa in campagna", as a holiday home. By Italians and of course by us and our guests. One apartment is for two or three people and the other for four people. A garden with swimming pool, a large lawn, several terraces with and without shade. And a breathtaking view of the rugged nature of calanchi (erosion channels) in the foothills of the Apennines.
For years, Casa Calénc has been in the top three of the best apartments in Italy on Zoover.  We now also have a charging station.
The apartment has been sustainably restored. We have solar panels, hot water panels and underground storage tanks for rainwater. Since 2017, we have had a Tesla battery for the storage of our own solar energy and we are 100% self-sufficient.
We, Han and Liesbeth have been the owners since 2000. In 2009 we started renting out. A passionate home cook and vinologist under an Italian roof. As said our guests come for peace and nature. But of course also for good food and drinks. We are proud to introduce you to the real yet unknown Italy. La dolce vita with its intimate music performances, markets and festivals in village squares. Ravenna, Rimini, Cesena and Bologna invite you to a pleasant visit.
Nature and surroundings.
The Alto Rubicone area is committed to slow and sustainable tourism. Apartments and garden overlook the Natura 2000 site Montetiffi Alto Uso. The area is criss-crossed by 150 kilometres of hiking trails; the Sentieri dell'Alto Rubicone. Go hiking or cycling and enjoy the many birds, orchids, edible wild plants. A deer on the slope in the early morning. A badger or a porcupine in the darkness. Look in amazement at the fireflies in the garden at the end of May. Lie down on the grass on a balmy August evening and wait for the shooting stars against the backdrop of the Milky Way and make a wish. And very occasionally you hear wolves howling.
