apartment in Aosta Valley, Italy – Corona Borealis Apartment
The village of Vens is quite large, with many streets and squares. The almost perpendicular intersection of two main roads in the heart of the village forms a charming little square where the school, the oven, the dairy and the fountain stand.
Pretty square upstream of the apartment which welcomes your moments of idleness.

Col de Joux lake. The path quickly gains altitude, then crossing the alpine pastures we reach Pointe Aouillette.
The valley of Vertosan extends to 1870 meters above sea level. It is a preserved corner of the mountains, authentic, lively, little known to tourists, dotted with numerous mountain pastures. Here the Alpage de Clapey in the colors of autumn.
Chamois, foxes, badgers, martens, weasels, golden eagles inhabit the valley of Vertosan, this natural environment, rich and still intact.
Hiking and mountain biking routes in the Pays de Saint-Nicolas, according to your wishes. A mule track – once used by herds, men and horses – connects the hamlet of Vens to the paths of the many mountain pastures located in the Vertosan valley.
Visit the city of Aosta. Many monuments date back to Roman times: the Arch of Augustus, the Praetorian Gate, the cryptoporticus, the theatre, the bridge and the Roman ramparts. The medieval part includes the complex of Saint-Ours as well as the Cathedral.
The Vagneur restaurant/inn is located in the village.

There is a private driveway. Here 3 to 4 cars can be parked. In winter, the snow slid in the driveway and also the stairs in front of the chalet and again freed from excessive snow.
On the west side of the chalet has a veranda that remains free of snow. There is a snow blower. The view from the terrace is beautiful.
From the driveway walk to the entrance of the chalet. The first door gives access to the skiroom and the second door is the door to the hall. Mostly everyone goes through the skiroom inside, because you also do your shoes.
In the summer, it all looks different.

There is satellite TV with all Dutch, German and English channels.
The open kitchen is fully equipped. The bar is a place to spend some pleasant time.
With several people in the chalet, everyone can find their own space. In the sitting area, with the TV, at the bar or at the table. There is so much space that you do not suffer from each other and at the same time it is for two people still cozy and not too big.

The fireplace can burn each day.
Also in the evening, it is cozy, with dimmable light.
All bedrooms are in the same style, with lots of closet space and a private bathroom.

Three of the four bathrooms have not just a shower but a bath.
There is a spacious sauna.
In the technical area are the washer and dryer.
A spacious ski-room, where all shoes and skies to find a spot.
The ski resort of Haute Nendaz is part of the area Les Quatre Vallées, a ski area of ??over 450 km, in connection with Siviez, Veysonnaz and Verbier. There are trails for every level of skier.
Haute-Nendaz is a traditional village where in summer and winter one can hear or see the alpine horns.
In summer and winter paragliding is something you can do together with an instructor and that is an unforgettable experience.
The area also offers enough challenging descents for the advanced skier.

The woodwork on the chalet is American red cedar wood, it requires hardly any maintenance and has been beautifully affected by the elements over the years
Access to the chalet from the forest path behind the house. The forest path leads to both Chamonix center and to the most beautiful walks.
