We have had a chalet in Haute-Nendaz for years. A wonderful ski area, easily accessible, something for everyone. In the summer you can enjoy hiking, cycling and golf. We own a small rental organization. Chalet Etoile is a beautiful chalet, with a lot of luxury (very good beds, jacuzzi in the garden) with a great view.

Great stay
It was great ?? everything perfect

Dear Erica,
We wear our shoes in Urlaub im Chalet Etoile.
The view from the ground and the view from the house and from the balcony to the mountains and the view from the sky.
We live in the Chalet for a long time.
Die Ausstattung im Wohn- und Essbereich ist rundherum sehr gut,
Moebel, Kueche, die Galerie mit TV sehr gemuetlich.
Now in the Schlafzimmern since leader you are all Doppelbetten, man has little Platz, sich therein will move or that Schraenke zu utilize.

We have a safe environment, in the environment there is always toll, MontBlanc-Gebiet and Matterhorn/Zermatt. Die Gegend um den Lac Derborence is still shoe and not gone.
The Coop in Haute-Nendaz is happy and the best is the Migros in Sion.
Sehr geehrte Frau van Zutphen
Unser Urlaub in Schweiz hat we have lived happily ever after and lived in the Chalet "Etoile"
The chalet is fully furnished and everything is available, if desired. The view of the chalet on the mountain is a wonder shoe.
So we would like to have a home in the Valais region and we will be able to use the Chalet without any problems. Thank you, I hope you enjoy it. With friendly Gruessen, Andrea Thiel

Quiet location but easy walk to the town, the shops.
The ski lifts are easily accessed - a regular bus leaves from 200m away.
Well equipped chalet with plenty of good quality kitchen equipment.
Fabulous view over the valley and mountains beyond. Amazingly comfortable beds. bedrooms are compact but with good cupboard space.
Bathrooms well equipped except for a lack of hanging space for towels.
Steep drive so bring chains if there is snow!
Very efficient service for the booking.
I would go back again.
There are 4 large supermarkets, several bars, cozy restaurants (Swiss regional dishes, pizzeria, very good Italian restaurant, Mexican, Moroccan, Thai)
health food store, bakery, butcher, sports shops, clothing stores, hairdresser, gift shops, doctor, etc

The tourist office website: http://www.nendaz.ch

From our tenants:

The village of Haute Nendaz is really cozy.
A tip for a restaurant/Tea Lounge: The tea house TE-KOE in the village itself. At the end of the afternoon (after a long walk) a high tea is definitely recommended.
Everything is easily accessible from the chalet, such as the swimming pool, tennis courts and the cable car. What is also very nice (for enthusiasts) is to go to the airport in Sion. About 2 to 3 times a day you can see the take-off of fighter jets up close.

Swimming pool
From the open-air swimming pool of Nendaz (25 degrees) with separate children's pool you have a fantastic view over the Rhône valley. The swimming pool is open from early June to early September.

In summer you can go hiking, swimming, tennis, mountain climbing, cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and excursions in the area from Haute-Nendaz.

Walking area

There is a beautiful and well-signposted walking area through the forests, over the alpine meadows and along a number of landscaped streams. These so-called 'bisses' collect water from a glacial stream at the back of the mountains and bring it to the fields and orchards for irrigation. The paths along it for maintenance, like the 'bisses', are as horizontal as possible and are therefore easy to walk on.
The eight watercourses of Nendaz, of which 6 still transport water, are especially famous.
For example, the high-altitude walk along the Bisse de Chervé with a view over the Rhône Valley or the one to the enchanting idyll with waterfalls (Bisse Vieux). You can start or end this walk near “Chalet Etoile”.
Accessible from spring to autumn, they are ideal for the whole family.
The "Bisses" walks are prohibited for people with strollers, but there are the so-called "pushchair hikes".

From one of our tenants: Tip: take a nice walk in the valley opposite Nendaz called Derborence, the road to it - route de Derborence - is also spectacular.
Mont-Fort

From Siviez, at the back of the small side valley, the gondola takes you to Mont-Fort (3300 m) and you can enjoy the view of more than fifty four-thousanders, including Matterhorn and Mont Blanc.
Watching the sky above the mountain peaks slowly change color from pink to orange and yellow is a spectacle you don't want to miss. The "Levers du Soleil" take place every Tuesday and Thursday (during the summer season).

There is now also a bike route called «Tour du Mont-Fort».

Day trips:

Sion (Sitten), 15.2 kilometers, 23 minutes:

Sitten (French Sion)
Vineyards and castles are symbols of Zion. Sion can be recognized from afar by the towers of the castle ruins of Tourbillon and the fortress of Valeria, rising into the sky. The castle church of Valeria houses one of the oldest playable organs in the world from the late 14th or early 15th century. There are several museums in the city.
But of course you can also go shopping here, sit on a terrace and enjoy a delicious meal.

Highlights:
- Historic old town with castles and fortress
- Grande Dixence dam: the highest dam in the world (285 m), in the Hérémence valley (visit inside from mid-June to the end of September)
- Lac Souterrain de St-Léonard: this subterranean lake is 300 meters long and can be navigable by boats.
- Derborence Primeval Forest: this is a protected nature reserve in a rock basin with mighty pine trees and larches
- Center of Valais wine growing - several wine cellars and wine tastings
Crans Montana, 37 km, 51 minutes:
http://www.crans-montana.ch/?&xopen=é&rst=1&rx=1280&ry=1024

This fashionable ski resort is located on the other side of the valley. It is nice to spend a day skiing or walking there. There are 160 km of slopes with the spectacular highlight being the Plaine Morte glacier (the so-called "death slope"). This is located at an altitude of 3000 meters and is literally and figuratively the highlight of the area. The ski descent goes back to 1500 meters, making it one of the longest in Europe.
The villages of Crans and Montana are adjacent to each other, but are separated by a motorway. In Crans you will find a number of chic shops that sell caviar and other luxury products. The nightclubs such as "Absolut" are frequented by yuppies and jetsetters. There are several cocktail bars and fondue restaurants.
In the summer Crans is very popular with avid golfers or mountain bikers. From the village you walk to the "Lac", a lake between Crans and Montana.
Montana has less “glamour”, but more conviviality. There is a Casino that is located next to the ice rink and is illuminated in all kinds of colors at night.
For a small village, Montana has a decent range of restaurants and bars to enjoy good food and drinks after a day in the snow or a long walk.

Montreux 74.9 km, 59 minutes:

This must be Heaven,” sang Freddie Mercury, “this must be paradise!”. Anyone who stands next to the statue of Mercury on the promenade at sunset will also feel it. Behind you the charming old town and as you look over the "burning" lake a kaleidoscope of red and yellow tones. The lukewarm wind blows through the palm trees, the buzz of people strolling past you. Flowerbeds lead to the famous Chillon Castle, which tells visitors a 1000-year history.
Those looking for a higher altitude can take the steepest cog railway to the Rochers-de-Naye viewing castle, where the mountain marmots romp in the new park. The most spectacular view offers the panoramic restaurant in the rock wall, which is accessible via a tunnel through the mountain.
