PARADISI EDO: A cozy 2 storey village house on MANI, the middle and southernmost peninsula in the Peloponnese. The very authentic Mani is an area with unimaginably beautiful landscapes, with alternating unique tower and fishing villages. There are plenty of beautiful walks to make. Everywhere you drive around the azure blue sea is always present. The house is close to the sea (about 11 minutes by car), in the middle of the beautiful mountain landscape of Mani. From the balcony you have a wide view of the surrounding mountains.
Quietly located in the small ancient monastery mountain village of GERMA, near a beautiful regional town with all amenities: doctor's post, supermarkets, petrol stations, ATM, restaurants: Areopoli.
Bays, beaches, mountains, sun, sea! Swimming, hiking, diving (attributes available), touring around the countless tower villages, sailing with a carter in the caves of Pirgos, or into the mountains, everything is possible. In Germa there is a lot of peace, but you can easily look up the crowds yourself.
Also suitable for wintering (central heating). Sleeping places for up to eight people.

We only rent per week, so for a minimum of 7 consecutive days, arrival and departure 12.00 am

Prices include electricity, water, linen (ie bed sheets, towels, tea towels). Bring your own beach towels. Used linen etc. must be left clean. Waste and dishes must be tidy.

The house is virtually radiation-free, so there is no WiFi. Internet can be done via your own mobile internet bundle.

We use the same rental rate throughout the year; € 595.00 per week, excluding final cleaning.

The mandatory final cleaning is € 65.00.

Beautifully located on the mainland of the Peloponnese, you will find as Greece-lover the middle peninsula, the very authentic Mani, an area with beautiful mountain landscapes, bays and beaches. Everywhere you drive, the azure blue sea is always present. Swim and laze. Somewhat inland, at 300 m altitude, the hamlet of Germa, with our fine house, with a magnificent panoramic view all around the mountains of Mani. The peninsula, which is very popular with the Greeks themselves. The area is very suitable for hiking. In summer it is hot to walk in the valleys. The advice is to look higher up. The wind provides cooling in the summer.

The very quiet house is about 25 years old and consists of two floors, with a total area of ??approximately 140 m2. Two kitchens, two bathrooms, marble and tiled floors. Fans provide coolness in the summer and the central heating can sometimes be useful in the winter. The house is nicely and comfortably furnished and there is space for 6-8 people max.
There is electric cooking (also oven), there is a washing machine. Behind the house is a third outdoor shower, great to have a shower in the open air after a swim in the summer!

We have tried to decorate the house as cozy as possible. The upper floor has its own entrance via an outside staircase and consists of a living room / kitchen (electric cooking, including the oven), two bedrooms with 2x a double bed and a bathroom. The ground floor has its own entrance and can therefore also be used as a separate living unit (eg for guests).
This ground floor has a large space as living room / kitchen, (electric cooking, also the oven). In this room is a little separated a double bed. There is a bedroom with 2 single beds and a bathroom. In the living room downstairs is a 2-person sofa bed. Both floors are equipped with a kitchen made of wood with granite countertops, and the floors are covered with tiles and white marble and / or terra cotta tiles. The house has two verandas with beautiful views. The windows are fitted with screens and shutters. Next to the house is a garden with 2 olive trees. There you can eat at the garden table with parasol overlooking the valley and the mountains. Very nice when the sun goes down.

Germa is a small authentic Greek village in the middle of the Mani region, it is surrounded by beautiful landscapes. The main attraction right at home is a restored Byzantine church with extraordinary frescoes. We only live a handful of people in the village, which is why it looks so peaceful. Climatically, the location known for its pure atmosphere. In the middle of the village is still the ruins of the old monastery. The newly paved road to the village is not a main road, so there is very little traffic. The hamlet itself is located 25 km from the beautiful harbor town Gythio and approximately 4 km from Areopoli, a very authentic regional town with many amenities such as tavernas, restaurants, shops, banks and a doctor / medical post. You can walk or cycle, swim, dive, sail, visit caves, laze on small beaches with a handful of other visitors, eat all kinds of fresh fish: by personally identifying yourself in the storage bin floating in the sea, visiting tower villages and museums High mountains admire vistas, view excavations, visit countless little churches in the most remote places, study frescoes, explore the southernmost tip of the Mani peninsula, (even the southernmost point of mainland Europe). And especially: walking, relaxing and a lot of sleep. Relax in nature. Occasionally a car comes along the house.

Mani is very south of the mainland, the Peloponnese, below Sparti. By car you cross via Italy at eg Ancona and then you arrive in PATRAS. Or you can fly on ATHENS (about three hours by car) or KALAMATA (still about two hours by car). It is best to rent a car. Or else you are dependent on the bus and / or a taxi. A bus arrives in Gythio and Aeropoli once a day. From there you can reach Germa by taxi.
For those coming from the sea: there are several larger and smaller marinas a short distance away, including GYTHIO and KALIVIA. There are also a few times a week ferries from the port of Gythio to KYTHERA, the island off the coast of Mani. Recommended!
