Spilia is a small village, located about 3KM from Kolymbari.
In Kolymbari you will also find the nearest beach.
Spilia is located about 30KM west of the beautiful, bustling Chania.
Spilia is a great base to look for the many beautiful, unique beaches, taverns and all the beauty that Crete has to offer. It is advisable to rent a car, to go around and discover Crete on your own. Think, for example, of Elafonisi beach and Afrata beach.
A 15-minute drive away you will find the bustling Platanias, a place with many taverns, bars and nice boutiques.
Chania airport is about a 45 minute drive and the nearest bus stop is about 2KM from the house.
Our house is NOT suitable for young people, groups and/or parties. We have a good relationship with the neighbors and other villagers and do not want to cause any nuisance.
The living room has a TV with Chromecast and the kitchen is fully equipped. This area is equipped with air conditioning. The 2 bedrooms are also equipped with air conditioning and large double beds. The bedrooms both have their own bathroom, equipped with toilet and shower. There is also an extra room that can be used as a storage room. For very little ones we have a camping bed with fitted sheet, mattress, duvet and cover.
After opening the gate you walk between the olive trees to the house. If you walk past the house you will enter the backyard with private pool and several places to relax. There is no view into the garden, so really a lot of privacy.
On the first floor there is another bedroom, however it is not accessible to guests, this is our own bedroom for when we are here in the winter. We are of course not present during your stay:)
Coming back to Spilia, a village where everyone knows each other. There is a nice local supermarket at 700M. Daily groceries are available here. (Nice bread, recommended!) A large supermarket can be found in Kolymbari. A pharmacy and tavern are 2 minutes walking distance from the house.
It is nice to visit Chania, this beautiful city is divided into old Chania and new Chania. Be sure to visit 'the old harbor'. Here you can enjoy the local hospitality, the Greek food, with the beautiful old port in the background.
