Spíti Espéde
This attractive holiday home is hidden between the olive trees in the picturesque village of Agios Markos. The house has been renovated with a lot of love and attention, carefully preserving the authentic details. This has created a house full of character in which the atmosphere of the past and the comfort of today come together beautifully.
Around the house is a beautiful, spacious and fully fenced garden of no less than 1,100 m², with a private heated swimming pool. A wonderful place to enjoy the sun, greenery and privacy in peace.
Since 2026, Spíti Espéde also has its own access road. Thanks to the purchase of the adjacent piece of land, our total property is now 3,500 m² and there are two private parking spaces at the house. Those who prefer to come on foot can of course still use the attractive footpath to the house.
Bedrooms
Bedroom 1 has a balcony, from here you look out over the sea and the valley. There is a double box-spring bed (160 x 200) and wardrobe.
Bedroom 2 also has patio doors that lead you out to the balcony. In addition to the double box spring (or 2x1 person 90 x 200) there is a single sofa bed and closet. Both bedrooms are air-conditioned.
Living room & kitchen
On the ground floor is the attractive living room with open kitchen with air conditioning. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a beautiful La Cornue with gas stove and double oven, refrigerator, kettle, Nespresso machine and milk frother.
Upon arrival, a number of nice extras are waiting for you, such as herbs, spices and our own olive oil. In the adjoining utility room you will find a microwave, a spacious fridge freezer and a dishwasher. Dishwashing and cleaning products are provided, so you don't have to worry about that.
The comfortable seating area invites you to relax. The sofa can also be used as a sofa bed. For a relaxing evening, there is a mobile television with Chromecast, so you can easily stream your own favorite movies and programs.
Terrace & view
Through the patio doors you enter directly onto the spacious terrace. Here you will find a large dining table for cozy meals and atmospheric BBQ evenings, as well as comfortable lounge sofas to relax.
The terrace is equipped with an adjustable louvered roof (louvered roof) and electric screens, so that you can enjoy shade, shelter or the sun at any time of the day.
From the terrace you have a beautiful view over the garden, the swimming pool, the green valley and the sea.
Practical facilities & beach
In the adjacent storage room you will find a washing machine and dryer, including detergent. For a relaxing day by the pool or by the sea, there are four comfortable beach chairs, a parasol, yoga mats and various pool accessories available. Beach towels are also available for you.
Bathroom & toilet
On the ground floor there is a stylish bathroom and a separate toilet.
The bathroom has a spacious sink with a large mirror and a separate make-up mirror. The wonderful rain shower with hand shower ensures a relaxing start or end of the day. For extra comfort, we have thought of the small details. Soft towels and bath towels are provided, as well as a hairdryer and Rituals care products, including shampoo and body wash. Conditioner/hair mask is also available. This way, you won't have to take much with you during your holiday and you will be able to enjoy the comfort of Spíti Espéde from the very first moment.
Guest house
In the beautifully landscaped garden is the attractive guesthouse, which houses Bedroom 3. This room has sliding doors that give direct access to the outdoor terrace. The bedroom is furnished with a box spring (2x1 person 80 x 200), a wardrobe, a small fridge, a kettle, a Nespresso machine and of course air conditioning.
On the outside of the guesthouse you will find a bathroom with shower and a separate toilet. The bathroom has a sink with a large mirror and a make-up mirror. Here, too, everything revolves around comfort: bath towels are waiting for you, as well as a hair dryer, luxury body and hair shampoo and hair mask (conditioner).
Garden
For enthusiasts, we have centuries-old olive, orange, lemon, loquat and pomegranate trees in the terraced garden. If you are lucky, the fruits are ripe enough to pick, there is also a herb garden with which you can prepare the most beautiful dishes.
To cool off, you can take a dip in the pool. 7 x 3.5 m. It is heated, so you can also swim in it during the cooler period. From here you have a beautiful view of the sea and the old fortress of Kerkyra.
Extras
The entire house has wifi (Starlink) and air conditioning.
In addition, four e-bikes and a gas barbecue are available. For a comfortable stay, facilities such as shampoo (Parfait hairdresser's shampoo), shower gel (Ritual), laundry detergent, dishwasher tablets, spices, beach towels, a steam iron and ironing board are provided.
Surroundings
Agios Markos is a small and cozy mountain village in the northeast of the Greek island of Corfu, where you can get acquainted with the hospitality and authentic atmosphere of the traditional Greek environment. Agios Markos is a wonderful destination if you want to enjoy the real Greece in peace.
From the holiday home you have a view of the coastline of the harbour town of Ipsos, which is about 1500 metres away. On the long promenade there are nice coffee shops, beach bars and restaurants with a view of the sea. Here is also a supermarket and a bakery/patisserie for your daily shopping. In the months of July and August there is a vibrant nightlife here.
Activities
The area is ideal for walking, cycling and of course swimming and other water sports activities at one of the many different beaches and beautiful bays.
From Spiti Espéde you can make nice trips to various cities: the capital Kerkyra, Barbati, Palaiokastritska, Mount Pantokrator, Achilleio and Sidari. In the holiday home there are a number of travel booklets from which you can get ideas, but we are also happy to share our holiday tips with you.
