With 60 lifts and 150 km of cross-country ski trails, Winterberg is the largest winter sports area north of the Alps and offers skiers, snowboarders and cross-country skiers all the challenges they could wish for. Around Winterberg, the mountain bike arena enjoys great popularity. There is also an excellent network of hiking trails (including the Rothaarsteig) through the gentle mountain
