The Habichtswaldsteig leads directly along the village; the nearby Kellerwald Beech National Park offers many beautiful and rustic hiking experiences. The zoo at the Edersee with its flight show of birds of prey is a magnet for visitors.
It is 12 km to the Edersee or Waldeck Castle, and the well-known spa town of Bad Wildungen with its various healing springs is only 15 km away. It is also 15 km to the cathedral city of Fritzlar with its beautiful half-timbered old town.
