Our beautiful apartment Burgund is located just 20 minutes from the center of Düsseldorf and 5 minutes from the center of Neuss! Our beautiful apartment is ideal for guests planning a city trip to Düsseldorf. Countless shopping opportunities, the many museums and sights and a special mix of very old and very modern architecture make the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia a popular travel destination!

Appartement Burgund is also perfectly located for business visits in and around Düsseldorf! For example, the Düsseldorf trade fair is very easy to reach from here. The location of the apartment is therefore very central, but still quiet!
Not many cars drive and parking spaces are easy to find here.
Apartment Burgund is located on the second floor of a beautiful Wilhelminian style house with high, bright rooms! In 2017 we modernized the apartment with great effort and success and furnished it new for you.

We are the Krieger family and have lived in our beloved Wilhelminian style house for almost 30 years. We love the bright, high rooms and the central yet quiet location. Our children grew up here.
They now live their own lives and the house became too big for us alone.

The window that can be seen here comes from one of the bedrooms. Volés offer more protection for light and noise when needed.
This is the view from the second, raised terasse. Here you can enjoy the fantastic view, the evening sun and your delicious French wine!
The terrace! It is always warm and calm here, no matter how strong the wind is blowing. Here you can sunbathe, read or relax on one of the sun loungers. At a large dining table, which is located here, you can have breakfast, lunch and dinner in a cozy and atmospheric way.
Have you just missed the sun on the terrace below or aren't you finished with enjoying the sun? No problem - you simply move to the terrace on the second floor! Here you can also enjoy the beautiful view and the forest!
From here you gaze upon the horizon of pine trees in green against a clear blue sky. When the night returns, pine trees turn into black silhouettes and the sky becomes a painting of light in all shades of pink, gold and blue.
This kitchen feels like home - small and cozy, but with everything you need. At one point or another between cooking, you look out of the window into the forest and remember where you are - and how beautiful it is, here.
Our house is on a slope that leads to the pine forest. In the backyard you feel like in a protected valley surrounded only by trees and sky.
The whole family can dine together at the large kitchen table. It stays cozy here, even if it is too fresh to sit outside.
In the cozy seating area, with a sofa and armchairs around the coffee table, you can snuggle up to watch movies together. Or you can wonder for hours about the eternal play of fire and flames that takes place in the fireplace - even better than watching tv!

As you wish, the car can be parked in the parking space next to the house or on the street in front of it.
In keeping with the surroundings, we have furnished Maison Lavande with lots of love and effort in a maritime style. It is important to us that you really feel at home here and not like in a sterile hotel room.
Even if you have a light sleep, there is no need to worry if you sleep in one of the bedrooms facing the street! Le Phare is a quiet place. The street is rarely used by cars. If the street lamp disturbs, there are Volés that can be closed.
Many details such as pillows, lamps and beautiful paintings on the walls make it really cozy here.
Bird's eye view of La Tranche sur Mer. Here you can see the typical infrastructure of this place: forest, beach, sea! The nature here is absolutely worth seeing and breathtaking. A walk through the forest to the sea is highly recommended!
Yes! It looks so picturesque and beautiful here, in fact. No fake, no Photoshop. There are reasons why we have stayed true to this charming place for almost 30 years.
Do you sometimes think about living the life of a surfing hippie traveling from beach to beach in his bus? Perhaps, apart from all its clichés, this dream is not as far away as it sounds ...
... La Tranche sur Mer offers the perfect waves to actually learn to surf! A real surf boom has broken out here in recent years. Schools offer material and lessons. If the waves get too big for beginners, the talented pros can be admired!
Many of our guests started learning to surf here. For some of them this was even just the beginning, followed by many years of fun, surf instructor trainings and journeys to bigger waves. The surf instructors who teach here really know what they're doing!
This is it: Our absolute favorite beach bar La Case d'Elo! Don't ask us how many incredibly funny, cozy, mild summer evenings we enjoyed here! Good wine, good music, good people. And a sunset that is more than good, but breathtaking!

A typical scene while you are lying on the beach and gazing into the bright blue sky: cute planes that buzz along the beach to draw attention to sights or to announce events such as one of the many fireworks.
Dine like the gods in France! Fruit de la Mer ... As delicious as that you won't get them elsewhere so quickly. Simply a delight and that at affordable prices. The offer of the local supermarket will amaze you!
When you stand in front of the fresh fish counter in the La Tranche supermarket, you are spoiled for choice. It's easy to get decision problems here. Take your children with you on shopping and let them marvel at the various shimmering fish up close.

The side aspect of our very large holiday with entrance. In front of the house are two large pine trees that look very pretty in the winter snow
This photo was taken on March 1, 2009 after an overwhelming amount of snowfall. Along the way is more than a meter of snow. It remains therefore that there is a lot of snow in March.
On September 30, 2011 we had a cycling team staying for a weekend cycling. The Sauerland experienced then a very warm period. All bicycles and other supplies could be safely stored in our three garages.
In September 2011 we extended our parking area. We now have hardstanding in front of the third garage so it can be used year-round. 4 cars can be parked with ease and of course the garages can be used too.
In April 2013 we received the first group of motorcyclists from Amersfoort. The snow had barely melted. This group has had a fantastic weekend in the Sauerland. They even have a motor route through to us. The engines could be parked safely. 3 in our garages

The dining table can be extend with 2 extra leaves to seat 12 people. There are 8 dining chairs and a further 4 stools
Our modern kitchen with appliances including an oven, extractor, fridgefreezer and of course a dishwasher. Cooking is by induction - the special pans are in the kitchen cabinets.
Bedroom 4,the middle bedroom on the second floor. The wooden battens have been painted making the room considerably lighter. Here is the pull-out bed and bunk beds,great for kids.

On two bedrooms there is a children's bed with a mattress.
Bedroom 3. This is at the front of the house on the second floor. It is a very spacious bedroom with a cot. There is also a wardrobe. The beds have single duvets.
Bedroom 3 - taken from the other side. You see in this picture there is also a cot of which there are two. The cots have only a mattress as quilts are not allowed for the tiny tots so please bring your own sheets and blankets.

Relax on our sunny terrace of 45 m2; the parasol gives necessary shade during the hot summer days. However, please secure the parasol to the railings as occasional strong gusts of wind can otherwise blow it over. There is a stone table with 8 chairs. In the garage are more chairs.
Bedroom 6. This bedroom has a double bed (2. X 1.60 m) with single mattresses and duvets. In the background you see a kitchen unit with hot and cold running water.

Our 5 person sauna. What's better after a day skiing, cross country skiing, etc. than to relax in the evening in the sauna.
In one of our garages, there is a table tennis tennis and table football. Youngster, in particular, can have fun with these, as of course, can the grown-ups. In the corner is a 'German' seating area.

In September 2011 had the area in front of our third garage paved, making access to this garage easier. Incidentally, this is the garage with the widest entry.
Welcome to Langewiese at 720 m altitude. In the winter, the temperature is usually well below freezing with downhill and cross country skiing mostly from mid December to mid March.

The boiler room can be used for ski storage. The skis can be neatly stacked against the wall so that any snow residues are collected in the drip trays.
Once the snow has melted, you can once again enjoy beautiful walks along the well-known hiking trail- the Rothaarsteig. Our house is right on this trail. Apart from this there are many options to do walks as long or short as you want.
The ski Karussell in Winterberg. This is the largest contiguous ski area north of the Alps. There are 7 and 16 lifts that are all interconnected.

This picture was taken in late November 2010. The first snow of the winter season 2010/2011 has fallen. The photo was taken from our living room looking onto our neighbouring restaurant Zur Post where you can enjoy excellent food at very attractive prices.
The garages were fitted with new insulated garage doors in May 2010. These are very easy to open and close. You can park your car here, if you wish.
Here's one of the tour boats on the Edersee. On this ship you can even enjoy dinner and a drink. Everything is on board.
On the Edersee can take a 2-hr boat trip. You can then visit the High Dam, which was bombed in 1942 by the Allies. The Edersee is located 1 hour from our house and is easy to get to. In the background you can see Castle Waldeck on top of the mountain.

The Sauerland is becoming increasingly popular with Dutch skiers. This is partly due to the fantastic chairlifts that we build. Coming winter season comes the Postwiese a new four-seater chairlift. Bravo!!
