Luxurious, quietly located chalet with a truly beautiful view over the rolling Eifel landscape. Special because of its unique location, the atmosphere and the conviviality that the chalet exudes. Only 237 km from Arnhem in the heart of the Volcanic Eifel where the vast forests, picturesque towns, deep crater lakes and narrow river valleys determine the picture. The conservatory and the well-kept accompanying garden with a terrace are ideal for relaxing and enjoying the surroundings. The 'Hohe Acht', the highest mountain (747 metres) in the Eifel, is well worth a visit. From this point you have a fantastic view of the entire Eifel with its rock formations, fossil sites, wildlife parks and ancient castles.
The Eifel is also called the German part of the Ardennes and is the closest low mountain range from the Netherlands. Like many cities in the Eifel, a castle is part of the cityscape of Blankenheim, a town about 13 km from your chalet. Be sure to visit the beautiful church with wall and ceiling paintings. In addition to this church, most tourists also go to the Ahrquelle. That is the source of the Ahr, a very famous river. It is a well located in the middle of the village. Blankenheim is also recommended for its beautifully restored city center with its beautiful half-timbered houses and old fortifications. The middle part of the Eifel is also called Vulkaneifel. A reference to the many dead volcanoes with sometimes large craters and beautiful crater lakes, where various water sports can be practiced. The Eifel also has a lot to offer in terms of sports: golf (Golfclub Eifel, 18 holes 12 km away), horse riding (various riding schools nearby), canoeing, gliding, paragliding, racing (Nürburgring!), surfing, sailing, pedal boats and of course cycling, mountain biking and hiking. Due to its central location, various car trips can also be made to the Moselle region, the border triangle or Luxembourg.
