JUSULA KUNDA means 'Place of happines' in Mandinka. Privacy is assured, and the spacious house is equipped with many amenities. It is located in the 'VIP area' of Sanyang, and has a pleasant contact with real African life through the circulation on every floor. This house of 330 m2 is located on a plot of 2,400, with a tropical garden, currently suitable for 5 people. With a huge terrace on the first floor, which is located between the mango trees. The large garden with bahamagrass is a refuge for many bird species. The top floor is currently not furnished. Plans are to do this within the foreseeable future, making the house suitable for 10 people.
Each room has large sliding windows of 2.5x2.5 meters, which can be opened, so that contact with the outside is optimal. Driver and catering can be arranged, as well as excursions and trips. The house is located 2.3 km from the beach, on the edge of the small town of Sanyang, a 25-minute drive from the 'Strip'.
There are two small restaurants within walking distance nearby, as well as several beach lodges and restaurants on the beach.
From the house it is possible to take walks to the savannah and to the lagoon.

The first time I came to The Gambia, seven years ago, I was immediately sold. The beauty of this country is in the people; getting the best out of life. And with those people we have built a fantastic house; through 'Social Return'. At least 30 families have been able to build a life because we have worked with them. Especially the area around Sanyang is quiet and unspoilt; an uncut diamond. Together with my Gambian friends we will certainly realize more projects!

Explanation of prices

The house is suitable for 5 people, with option up to 10 people., High season (October to April) the rental price is € 969 per week. In the low season the rental price is € 596 per week, and the house can also be rented for a longer period (prices by arrangement). The low season is from May 1 to September 30. Transport to and from the airport is included in this price; outings or excursions must be arranged separately. Self-catering is possible, but also catering of breakfast and dinner by a cook from the neighboring lodge (with payment).
