In the hills of Provence, surrounded by olive trees and cypresses and close to the medieval village of Bargemon, lies the house St Maur: a beautifully situated villa with swimming pool, stunning views, 10,000m2 of private land with lots of privacy and tranquility.
St Maur is our holiday home where we have been coming for over 30 years. The oldest part of the house (a chapel) is over 300 years old and in the garden you will find an old well and washing place.
The holiday home consists of a main house with 2 very spacious bedrooms with air conditioning and ensuite bathroom, kitchen and sitting room with open dining area and fireplace. Next to the house is the maison d'amis- a separate cottage with 2 spacious bedrooms with air conditioning, a bathroom and a laundry room with washing machine and extra toilet. The maison d'amis is connected to the main house via a covered terrace. This layout makes the house very suitable for use with 2 families, for example. (The maison d'amis is only rented together with the main house)
St Maur is located on a mountainside and the difference in height gives the house a unique character and ensures that you have a beautiful view.
From the house you walk via a stone staircase to the lower swimming pool. There are more different terraces around the house and depending on your preference and the time of year you can choose to sit in the sun or in the shade.
The 8x4m swimming pool has complete privacy. There are sunbeds around the pool. The trees around the pool ensure that it is always possible to find some shade here too.
St Maur is located at the end of a cul-de-sac and has a driveway of approx 75m which we share with our neighbours. There is no traffic and a lot of privacy.
Behind the house an old church path leads to the village You can walk to Bargemon in about 12 minutes.
Bargemon is an authentic Provencian village. There is a supermarket, bakery, a butcher, 5 restaurants and a pharmacy. We love to observe village life on the village square with a croissant and a cup of coffee.
