The coastal cliffs is extremely varied and has room for all kinds of water sports. Walking to the beach at low tide or high on the cliffs overlooking the sea. The cozy kitchen is the heart of the home. It is light and has beautiful views over the garden and a wood stove to be pleasing to start reading. Sit with a book The kitchen is equipped with a combination fridge freezer, a dishwasher, a stove with 4 gas burners and an electric convection oven. There is an extra electric hob, kettle, coffee maker, toaster, mixer and blender. The kitchen opens to the dining room. There is also an outside door so you walk onto the terrace directly. In the cupboard you will find a nice collection of old French pottery for food. The dining room has a large birch table where you can eat with 10 people if you want. In the cupboard you will find books, local info and lots of toys. Including Duplo, Lego, a farm with animals, dolls, kitchen stuff, cars and ball games. In the dining room there is a sofa bed consisting of two beds. Nice to relax with a view of the garden. These beds can also be used if more than 6 people use the house. The master bedroom is bright and sunny, there is a table with chairs. Unobstructed view over the garden. It is en-suite with bedroom 2. Parents with young children therefore have the children close to them. The bed is 160 x 210 cm, it has hypo-allergenic pillows and a duvet of 210 x 240 cm. Large bedroom, other side. On this side of the house you can still see the original construction method with clay, bricks and flint stones. At the back of the house is the second terrace. It has lovely unobstructed views of several acres of farmland and an old farmhouse with outbuildings further afield. Meadow and flower garden in front of the large terrace. Almost all year round there are some flowers and you can pick them modestly to make the house cozy. On the side of the house is a meadow where cows regularly walk, they are curious and like to come and have a look at the fence. Our orchard in bloom in May. The road to our house. From here you look over the arable land to the back of our house. There is little traffic here, just a few residents and farmers going to their fields. Harvesting the wheat in August, on the other side of the road. The popular beach in Veulettes-sur-Mer. Here you can supervised swimming, playing and sunbathing on the pebble beach. Veulettes-sur-Mer are also sailing boats to rent, or you can get in a catamaran sailing lessons. Strong winds, it is also a popular spot for windsurfers. In St Aubin-sur-Mer it is possible to paraglide along the coast. High speeds are occasionally achieved here. Kite surfing is also done here a lot. You can reach the beach by car. From Veules-les-Roses, you can create a beautiful beach to Sotteville and St. Aubin-sur-Mer. You walk here only at low tide, but then you have real sand beach and a unique view of the cliffs. The beach at St. Valery-en-Caux, on the boulevard, is a playground for young children. This place also has a nice harbor for fishermen and sailors. The fish is sold fresh immediately on the quay. Every day of the week there is a market in the region with delicious local produce where the Normans are proud. Just take anything from the market? So it's nice pick-nick during the walk. Pays-de-Caux has the highest density of castles in France. Several can be viewed. Much of the wealth came from the slave trade, another part came from the sale of agricultural and dairy products to Parisians. Throughout the region you can find old farmhouses and barns. They give a nice look at the history. Every summer Sunday there are 'vide-greniers' or flea markets everywhere. In the otherwise quiet region, it is then very busy. People get up early, go to the patisserie for something delicious and then to the flea markets. Fresh fries and meat from the barbeque are for sale around 12 noon. Lac de Caniel, a recreational lake near Cany Barville, 15 minutes drive from our house. Lac de Caniel, there is catering and the possibility to rent a canoe or pedal boat. You can also go water skiing on a cable car and there is a slope with bobsleds. The playground at the Lac de Caniel. Thanks to the rich loam soil Haute-Normandie is a paradise for gardeners. There are many castle, ornamental and vegetable gardens to visit. Also one can find specialized gardens for example, roses and hydrangeas.
