There is a spacious (5 person) apartment on the first floor of our house. The apartment was completely renovated in 2023 and has a bathroom, kitchen, 2 bedrooms, including 1 double bedroom and 1 room suitable for up to 3 people. This makes the apartment very suitable for families or groups of friends.

The apartment has a spacious living room, a private outdoor area. If you want to kick a ball or do other outdoor activities, you can do this on the large field behind the house. The apartment has private parking for up to 2 cars (additional parking is possible). In 2023 we moved to France to start a new life. We like a challenge, that's why we started this adventure. We enjoy the outdoors and the tranquility that this beautiful region has to offer. We can therefore regularly be found on one of the many hiking trails that this region has to offer. The Combrailles is a beautiful region known for its views. There is a lot to do for the active ones among us. Consider, for example, walking and cycling routes, but also water sports such as canoeing or SUPing. For ski enthusiasts, the nearest ski area is less than an hour's drive away.

We are Henk, Maarten and Bali. In 2022 we started the search for a house in France. In May of that same year we traveled through France with a camper. During this period we had a number of viewings in different houses in different regions of France. Our eyes quickly fell on the house we live in now. Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

. Cancellation policy

Cancellation must always be made in writing by email.
Cancellations can be made free of charge up to 6 weeks before your stay. We will refund your deposit to your account.
If you cancel between 6 and 3 weeks before your booked stay, 40% of the total amount will be charged. So you will only receive your deposit back.
If cancellation is made 3 weeks or less before the start of the booked stay, we will be forced to charge the entire booking amount. In this case we will only refund your deposit.

Location & area recommendations

Additional information

There are several hiking trails in the area. There are walking routes for both novice and advanced runners. With these routes you walk through the most beautiful parts of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes.

Consider, for example, the waterfalls of Saint-Priest-des-Champs, less than half an hour's drive from us. Here are 2 routes, 1 of 9.5 km and 1 of 3 km.

Or take the route that starts in Saint-Hilaire-les-Monges, just a 5-minute drive away, where you walk through the beech forests for which the Combrailles region is known. There is also a beautiful view of the Combrailles area.

Be surprised by all the beauty that can be seen directly from the door. Not convinced yet? Of course there is much more to walk than the options mentioned. The Combrailles has a total of 1650km of registered walking routes. If you have any questions about where these routes can be found, please ask us during your visit.
