Nature, wildlife and absolute silence. That's what you'll find in and around Gite 'Le Verne'. This luxuriously furnished holiday home is completely secluded in the valley of the river La Roche, in the south of the Burgundy national park De Morvan.

'Le Verne' can accommodate up to 2 people. The house is an ideal place for those seeking peace and quiet and lovers of hiking and cycling. After all the active efforts, you can laze on the terrace or in the spacious garden around the house. There is a sun terrace with sunbeds, from where you have a spectacular view of the river, the mountain massif around Mont Beuvray and the perched castle of Larochemillay.

COMFORT
Gite 'Le Verne' guarantees above all a holiday with comfort. For example, the kitchen corner is equipped with a 4-burner gas hob, spacious refrigerator and a combi microwave. In addition, in the living area you will find two comfortable changing chairs and a flat-screen TV with CD/DVD BluRay player. Music and films are available, as well as books and documentation about the region. There is free and unlimited WiFi internet.
For any chilly evening hours, Gite 'Le Verne' is equipped with a cast iron wood stove, which provides a wonderful warmth and many romantic hours!

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed (140 x 200 cm) and a sink with mirror. Directly adjacent you can retreat to a spacious, luxurious bathroom with walk-in shower and toilet.

ROAMING
In Gite Le Verne you can literally experience what it feels like to 'live like a Burgundian'. Seeking silence, finding inspiration or wandering around for hours in the surrounding meadows and forests: you will find it all in and around 'Le Verne'.
Moreover, the real Burgundian cuisine is never far away. In the nearby towns of Luzy, Château-Chinon and Autun you will find numerous good brasseries and restaurants.

Explanation of the prices & cancellation policy

The weekly prices mentioned do not include 45 euros final cleaning costs (with dog 55 euros). Cleaning costs must be paid in cash upon arrival.

There is a 35 euro energy cost per week , to be paid in cash on arrival. The house is equipped with electric heating radiators, air-conditioning and a cozy wood stove. There is plenty of firewood in the house.
Bed linen is optional for rent for 25 euros per stay.
Free laundry service for stays of at least two weeks.

Your dog is very welcome at Gite Le Verne. For this, the owner charges 15 euros per pet, please pay in cash on arrival.

Gite Le Verne is located in the southern part of the Morvan national park: a rugged hilly area in the heart of Burgundy. The Morvan is a true paradise for people who love unspoiled nature.

WILD
The landscape of the Morvan Is is very diverse and ranges from extensive pine forests and ancient deciduous forests to crystal clear lakes, fast flowing rivers and rolling hills with meadows.
It is therefore not surprising that many wild feel at ease here, including roe deer, foxes, boars and numerous species of raptors.

SOLID GRANITE
The national park of Morvan is actually an ancient piece of France, which long ago even part of the much more southern Massif Central. Traces of that time are still to be found, witness the granite and volcanic rock around the Mont Beuvray (821 m) and the Haut Folin (901 m).

WOOD AND COWS
Unlike the rest of Burgundy is less calcareous clay soil, so not suitable for viticulture. The great Burgundy vineyards, you'll find more direction Beaune, Dijon and Chalon s / Saone, an hour's drive from Gite Le Verne.

The Morvan should also mainly on logging and small-scale farming. Throughout the national park you will therefore feet tall trunks stacked and friendly chewing Charollais and Limousin cows recently.

Here you can fully sailing, surfing or just floating around on one of the many paddle boats that can be rented here. Canoeing, kayaking and rafting is done on the wild river Cure.
Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the beautiful 18-hole golf course located in Autun.

Gite Le Verne is an hour's drive of the great Burgundy vineyards, culminating in the wine capital of Beaune. Feel free to make a stop at one of the local vineyards in villages like Auxey-Duresses, Mercurey, Givry or Meursault. Often they are willing to give you their impressive wine cellars, with of course a glass of Burgundy as sealing a tour.

Burgundy also has to keep the culinary field good name. 'Le Verne' lies not far from excellent restaurants, serving regional as Boeuf Bourguignon, oeufs and meurette, jambon persillé or the pike perch fillet served.

In a 10-minute drive away town delivers is a weekly market every Friday and there are also markets include Autun (Wednesday and Friday), Chateau Chinon and Moulins Engilbert.

'Le Verne' is a hamlet that is part of the municipality Larochemillay. The house is a stone's throw from the village, which is situated high on a rock.

CASTLE

MONT TOULEUR

'Le Verne' is also not far from the Mont Beuvray, with approximately 821 meters the second highest "mountain" of the Morvan. The highest Haut Folin (901 meters). On top of Mont Beuvray can still be found Bibracte, a Gallic fortress. Residues There are still excavated and found "treasures"
