Nature, wild and absolute silence. That's what you'll find in and around our Gite 'Le Verne'. This luxuriously appointed home is completely secluded in the valley of the river La Roche, in the south of the Burgundy Morvan national park.



'Le Verne' is suitable for up to 2 people. The house is an ideal place for tranquility and lovers of hiking and cycling. After all those efforts, you can laze on the terrace or in the large garden around the house. Here you will find comfortable beds which offer spectacular views of the river, the mountain massif of the Mont Beuvray and the high castle Larochemillay.

COMFORT
Gite 'Le Verne is best guarantee for a holiday with comfort. Thus, the kitchen equipped with a 4-burner gas hob, large fridge and a microwave. You will also find in the living area two tasty diaper chairs and a flat-screen TV with CD and DVD player. Music and movies are available, as well as books and information about the area.
For any chilly evenings Gite 'Le Verne' equipped with a cast iron wood burning stove, which makes for a wonderful warmth and many romantic hours!

The bedroom has a comfortable double bed (140 x 200 cm) and a sink with mirror. Directly adjacent, you can retreat to a spacious, luxurious bathroom with shower and toilet.

Roam
You can literally experience how it feels to 'life as a hedonist. "In Gite Le Verne Find silence, find inspiration or spending hours wandering around the surrounding meadows and woods in and around "Le Verne" has it all.
Moreover, the traditional Burgundian cuisine never far away. In the nearby towns delivers, Chateau-Chinon and Autun you will find many good restaurants and brasseries.

Explanation of prices

The stated weekly prices do not include 45 euros final cleaning costs (55 euros with dog). Cleaning costs must be paid in cash upon arrival.

Energy costs of 35 euros per week will be charged, to be paid in cash upon arrival. The house is equipped with electric heating radiators, air-conditioning and a cozy wood-burning stove. There is plenty of firewood available in the house.
Bed linen can be rented optionally for 25 euros per stay.
Free laundry service for a minimum stay of two weeks.

Your dog is very welcome at Gite Le Verne. The owner charges 15 euros per pet for this, to be paid in cash upon arrival.

Gite Le Verne is located in the southern part of the Morvan national park: a rugged hilly area in the heart of Burgundy. The Morvan is a true paradise for people who love unspoiled nature.

WILD
The landscape of the Morvan Is is very diverse and ranges from extensive pine forests and ancient deciduous forests to crystal clear lakes, fast flowing rivers and rolling hills with meadows.
It is therefore not surprising that many wild feel at ease here, including roe deer, foxes, boars and numerous species of raptors.

SOLID GRANITE
The national park of Morvan is actually an ancient piece of France, which long ago even part of the much more southern Massif Central. Traces of that time are still to be found, witness the granite and volcanic rock around the Mont Beuvray (821 m) and the Haut Folin (901 m).

WOOD AND COWS
Unlike the rest of Burgundy is less calcareous clay soil, so not suitable for viticulture. The great Burgundy vineyards, you'll find more direction Beaune, Dijon and Chalon s / Saone, an hour's drive from Gite Le Verne.

Golf enthusiasts will enjoy the beautiful 18-hole golf course located in Autun.
Gite Le Verne is an hour's drive of the great Burgundy vineyards, culminating in the wine capital of Beaune. Feel free to make a stop at one of the local vineyards in villages like Auxey-Duresses, Mercurey, Givry or Meursault. Often they are willing to give you their impressive wine cellars, with of course a glass of Burgundy as sealing a tour.

Burgundy also has to keep the culinary field good name. 'Le Verne' lies not far from excellent restaurants, serving regional as Boeuf Bourguignon, oeufs and meurette, jambon persillé or the pike perch fillet served.

In a 10-minute drive away town delivers is a weekly market every Friday and there are also markets include Autun (Wednesday and Friday), Chateau Chinon and Moulins Engilbert.
'Le Verne' is a hamlet that is part of the municipality Larochemillay. The house is a stone's throw from the village, which is situated high on a rock.

CASTLE
